I would like prayer for my elderly mother. She's very ill and I'm not sure how long she has. She's bounced back before but, this time it's pretty bad. Long story short she had a bad fall, ended up with a head injury and broken wrist. She is just not getting better, losing weight, feels nauseated, won't eat, weak and down right miserable. The fall was 4 weeks ago. Tonight I talked to her and she said she had a burning in her chest. The doctor thinks it might have something to do with her aorta, which felt a bit enlarged. He was not completely sure. It could be indigestion. She's always had stomach problems, she says she's never felt like this before. Because of her age, 89, and her frailty they can't operate even if they needed to. She just keeps telling us she wants to die, she's tired and sick and just wants to go to be with the Lord.
Prayers for your mom and your whole family.
Thank you!!!!
Has she ever had some probiotics (ie good bacteria supplements)? If she has ever been on antibiotics, it kills off both good and bad bacteria, but you need to replenish good bacteria. In the past docs prescribed probiotics when patients were on antibiotics, now they don’t, and people wonder why they have so many more gut and stomach problems now.
Thank you, that’s beautiful.
I lost my mom last August after a long illness. She suffered a lot during that last year and her death wasn’t easy. I miss her a lot, but I knew it was better for her to be with God than to keep suffering the way she was. I hope your mom can feel better. There’s always a light ahead. I’ll pray for your mom.
Thank you!!!! The attitude is a huge part in getting better and I think she’s just given up. I do understand why though. She’s not been well for a few years now. It’s been a slow decline. The fall she had really set her back. She’s just miserable.
Thank you!!!!
Thank you!!! I know that dying is part of life. I know that our separations as long as we know Jesus is temporary. It’s the suffering I hate seeing so much. I know one day we will understand, but, right now that part is the hardest for me and I’m sure for my mom.
Prayers for your Mother, MsLady.
My mother has been on low dose antibiotics for years because of a chronic bladder infection that just won’t go away. My guess is you are right.
Thank you!!!
May God give her all the consolation she needs.
Your mother has my prayers.
Your mother is in my prayers.
I’m in agreement with that, Amen!!!!
We all grow old and will be in your mother’s place one day. May the Lord be standing at her side with compassion and encouragement.
I’ll keep your mother in my prayers. Maybe she’ll bounce back yet.
Be by her side and comfort her. I lost my Father at 13 and my Mother at 39. He was 47 and she was 69. It is a time for nothing but giving and helping with all you can. My prayers for your Mother and you to hold strong.
Thank you and Amen!!!!
