So many American Christians support Israel and all things Jewish. HERE is a peek at how these objects of our tender solicitude regard us.
Which is true. The only thing is that this is not an infiltration, but the OPC has from the start been anti-semitic and it's pretense of being Christian wears thin. The OPC as part of its core doctrines states that the OPC believes that God's chosen people today are not the Jews
It's very own doctrines, as I linked to above dictates terms against Jews and Jewish festivals
Alex, we Christians reject the anti-semitism of your group, the OPC. To be such a rabid anti-semitic group now in this day and age when we are supposed to be more intelligent and knowledgeable is unforgiveable.
I can tell from both RJR_Fan's handle (a reference to Rousas J. Rushdoony) and from his posts that he is probably a member of the John Birch Society. The JBS's quasi-official theology is the anti-Semitic "reconstructionism" of Rushdoony and his son-in-law Gary North. They also have a sizable membership of ultra-right wing Catholics (sedevacantists and Feeneyites).
You can always tell a John Bircher. They castigate Israel as "socialist" while praising other socialist governments (such as Chiang Kai-shek's Soviet-influenced Nationalist China) to the skies.
Well, well, well . . . seems there’s one less Birchite on FR.
Catholic William F. Buckley was a prime mover in separating modern conservatives from isolationists, Birchers and Jew-haters. Jews like Willi Schlamm and Frank Meyer were very influential in this. Buckley and this new group, by the way, were not fans of Ayn Rand and did not want her identified with conservatism.
Ayn Rand was an atheist. 'Nuff said.
The Birch Society is different (and very frustrating to deal with). It has always claimed to be free of the taint of anti-Semitism, but it is in fact part of the old anti-Semitic Right. They try to suck people into that movement by avoiding any explicit mention of a "Jewish conspiracy" but their conspiracy theory is in fact anti-Semitism with the word "Jews" removed. I've long considered them sort of the "blue lodge" of the anti-Semitic movement, used to recruit decent people to the fringes without revealing the "higher secrets." And unfortunately, there are lots of good Jewish members. Oh well. I suppose they keep it from being even worse than it is.
Unfortunately, their current publication, The New American, has devoted a story to the sinking of the USS Liberty--something its predecessor publications, bad as they were, would have avoided.
Some people think that about Free Republic!
Reminds me of Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan. They pretend to be neo-isolationists (a position that draws much sympathy from me), but in reality they apply to Jews and Israel a much different standard than they hold to anyone else.
Hey, nothing wrong with isolationism (neo or otherwise) or with being against foreign aid. The problem is Jew-haters who hide behind those positions.

I don't see how anyone could make this assumption. FR is full of people who are pro-Israel, including the much maligned "chr*stian Zionists" who make up the vast majority of American Fundamentalist Protestantism. The Birch Society, on the other hand, is almost totally absent such people.
FR was at one time crawling with Nazis (most were purged after 9/11), but it is today an excellent example of how American conservatives (of all denominations) actually think. I doubt the Birch Society has very much use for Free Republic.
I have never heard of John Bircher quite frankly. What is appalling more than this OPC member, RJR_fan posting this is that we have folks who sincerely believe this garbage today in this day and age. These are people who have access to the internet, who can travel, who can see the truth and not rely on their OrthodoPresbyterianC pastors to tell them and yet they repeat this garbage today?
There was another zotted member of the OPC, aptly named OrthodoxKirkPresbyterian who made some strange comment about how people worship Israel.
It doesn’t take too far for the evil to drop from this anti-semitic group the OPC. First their doctrines say that wishing Jews on Seder is wrong, then it adds on that Jews are not the chosen people and you see the result here in their members posting. Thank goodness they are only 10,000 adults and pederasts, even though they are disproportionately represented on FR where they shout a lot.
It’s one thing to disagree with Israel the nation, but any logical person, even an impartial one has to admit that Israel, the secular state has done a lot of good, it has the only stable democracy in the middle east and it protects the holy sites a lot better than any Moslem government could do.
I'm sorry, I don't see that on FR -- I see pentecostals as being supportive of Israel or at the very least treating it like any other nation. On the contrary I see the OPC and the PCA folks being stridently, vehemently anti-Israel, such that they have spittle coming out of their mouths most of the time when they mention Israel
Besides this post you have
I'll agree that the overwhelming majority of Christians do not voice these opinions, yet the trend on Freerepublic is for the extreme hate groups like the OPC/PCA (members include such illustrious evictees as rjr_fan, orthodoxkirkpresbyterian, orthodoxpresbyterian, hankkerchief etc all zotted for either anti-semitic, anti-Christian or communist outbursts) to shout out more and more.
I fear that with their increasingly shill statements, they bring FR into disrepute. I'd rather they stayed on their website stormpunt
I'd like to think that google the corporation doesn't do that. It's just because all of those sites are linked to by other anti-israeli sites like opc.com, WBC etc. etc.
Actually, this is a hoax anti-semitic video that the OrthodoPresbtyerianC likes to distribute to spread their anti-semitism
It won't work -- we Christians reject the hate messages of the PCA/OPC and we do realise that neither group is Christian but only aims to foment discord among Christians.
Well said. As the catechism of the Catholic Church reiterates:
To the Jews "belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ", "for the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable."
Just for your interest.
AGREED.
