“Every day but Sunday, Mormons send out over 52,000 missionaries around the globe who claim all Christians are apostates. (They call it the “universal apostasy” and “restoration”)”

Every day there are millions of Christians who challenge Mormons to accept Jesus.

“By comparison, what? There’s a few dozen FREEPERS who challenge Mormonism’s claims? “

Well then you’d better get busy with something more effective. How many have you converted?

Well, you seem to have that stat down pat.

I'd like to believe that was true. Do you have some social science stat we don't know about? (Or are we supposed to trust your artificial "omniscience" on this one?) Or do you just throw out random "observations" -- as if you were able to observe "millions of Christians" on a daily basis?

How many have you converted?

Ah, an appeal to boasting of ourselves re: something God does. How quaint. (The same thing you do for baptism...you make it into something man does when so much of the Biblical language talks about baptism as involving things no man could accomplish)

Still, I suggest you talk to ex-Mormons Szonian and Sentinel and ask them what GOD has been able to do in and through FReeper posts in recent years in their lives.

"How many have you converted?"

It's not a matter of being "converted" per se, more like being educated and shown the dichotomies present within mormonism that illustrate the falseness of the doctrine.

If one is seeking the truth, then one doesn't run from debate or confrontation. One embraces it and then works to prove it incorrect. Since I couldn't prove it incorrect, what I had believed previously was therefore incorrect.

Was I converted? I guess you could say I was de-converted from mormonism. An apostate of the highest order now. Looked upon and treated with the disdain deserving of one who persists in engaging in the mormonISM discussions/debates.

Do I go with my heart or my head? We've been warned about that, the heart will lead man to destruction.

As to the missionaries, I don't know of any Christian missionaries who go out into the world telling all the other Christians that their religion is apostate, and that only they have the "restored gospel©" as the mormons do.

Christian missionaries typically focus on spreading the gospel among folks who have never heard it before, not, as a systemic effort to convert others into another belief system like the mormons do.

Christians are usually just plain happy to get someone to walk in the Lord, not join a religion or church.
