PROVO, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The Provo City Fire Department has released the full report on the December Provo Tabernacle fire.
The 135-page report outlines events leading up to the fire from December 17th that destroyed the historic landmark in Provo.
Trax Lighting and AV arrived at the Tabernacle a few days before the fire to setup lighting for a concert that was to be taped by BYU Broadcasting.
During the setup of a lighting truss, a technician said he set aside two lamps that were part of the in-house lighting system.
Fire officials believe these lights were placed too close to a speaker which started the fire two days later.
The report notes a number of circumstances and human errors that contributed to the unintentionally set fire.
Provo fire says the fire alarm in the building was inadequate and failed an inspection on December 2nd, two weeks before the fire.
The fire alarm system was only monitored in the building, meaning an alarm wouldn't automatically trigger a response from the fire department.
There was also not an automatic sprinkler system in the building that fire official believe would have controlled the fire.
The fire alarm system had a history of false alarms that may have have lead building personnel to "become apathetic to the system as a whole."
At 1:10am the morning of the fire, a fire alarm was triggered and a security guard disabled the alarm and did not contact the fire department, delaying a response to the fire by nearly an hour and a half.
I know reality may be a challenge on this issue. I'll type slower for you. Mormons blamed non-mormons and as it turned out was caused by mormons. Another fire, and this time up front it is clear that mormons were at fault. Now read twice more and ping me in the morning.
"Nice" superimposing of motives ("to justify my own").
You are ascribing inward motives.
1 Sam. 16:7 says ONLY God sees the inner man; man, on the other hand, looks only at outward appearances.
I am justified by Jesus Christ and His cross; not by any attempt, myself or any other, as any attempt to "justify." Christianity stands on its own, yes. That doesn't mean that we do what you seemingly do -- clip out verses like Jude 3 where Jude tells us to "contend for the faith delivered once for all to the saints."
(May I suggest you read Jude 3 & then you tell us what that means?)
To wind back to the above, you are in grave error and guilty of judging complete strangers' inner motives when you superimpose what you believe to be their motivation. (May I gently suggest you prayerfully consider repenting of that?...and an apology wouldn't hurt, as well)
Usually I give my friends better treatment than my enemies, but that is just me...
So you take to personal attacks when asked for clarification. That’ll make yer case!!!
Mormons have false teachers, whats your excuse?
“And yet, assuming you are one of faith, you seem to have no issue with your good neighbor waltzing into the Devil’s den along with the Muslim you so despise”
No, I just think your connection is off topic and confusing. Unless the purpose of the thread is just to make personal attacks against others.
Pearls before swine ping.
Pork Loins are great too!
I forgot to ask if you will be on the food committee. I will buy a New York strip or a Filet Strip or two or more depending on how many folks are coming. We can do lots of salads and easy things to go along with that.

You have a very interesting posting history regarding mormons....about a 180 from the stance you are taking here. One could surmise that there is an agenda. In any case, I leave you to it for tonight.
The anti-mormons seem to have personal reasons for their obsession, kind of like ex-smokers or ex-drinkers..fortunately, they are a tiny fringe element and not representative of conservatives as a whole...magritte
“You have a very interesting posting history regarding mormons....about a 180 from the stance you are taking here”
Really? Didn’t realize I had a ‘history’ of posting regarding mormons. One could surmise you are being untruthful with your post.
Well, you seem to have that stat down pat.
I'd like to believe that was true. Do you have some social science stat we don't know about? (Or are we supposed to trust your artificial "omniscience" on this one?) Or do you just throw out random "observations" -- as if you were able to observe "millions of Christians" on a daily basis?
How many have you converted?
Ah, an appeal to boasting of ourselves re: something God does. How quaint. (The same thing you do for baptism...you make it into something man does when so much of the Biblical language talks about baptism as involving things no man could accomplish)
Still, I suggest you talk to ex-Mormons Szonian and Sentinel and ask them what GOD has been able to do in and through FReeper posts in recent years in their lives.
It’s a simple matter for one to check their own history.
We would be happy to help.
Some of us can multitask.
Um, what connection is that. I did read you post correctly, twice. You said you would rather have a Mormon for a Neighbor than a Muslim. I agree actually. But such a statement is made for a reason on a thread such as this.
LOL, dig deeper.
“Well, you seem to have that stat down pat. “
Well there are a BILLION Christians in the world ya know.
“Ah, an appeal to boasting of ourselves re: something God does. How quaint. “
So when you attack Mormons that goes to your duty. When I comment on Christians evangelizing I’m suddenly boasting for something God does?
God gave us free will. Just because you or I choose to do something does not mean its of God. Thats only true if you have the Spirit in your heart. Anger can be righteous. Cheap personal attacks generally don’t fall into that category.
Baptism is something man does. Jesus instructed man (and woman) to be baptized by other men.
Keep trying. Love wins more hearts than hate. Hate only hardens peoples hearts against the Word of God.
Finally a little accuracy from you.
The reasons are very personal.
Yep, so prove it or admit yourself to be a liar.
I’m consistent on my posts, as consistent as any person can be. Mormons are generally good people but are not Christians and are not saved. That’s what I’ve consistently said.
Yes and?
