I love healthy, even heated debate. I love fair contests of intellect.

When Hillary is going to moderate the debate between left and right, I am NOT interested. I wont “compete” where I can't lose, nor where I can't win.

As for responses... let's play Foosball the table will be at a 45 degree angle in my favor, and warped so the ball centers itself as it rolls toward your goal. Oh yeah, we'll also ban your goalie from the game. Hey lets put some money on the game to make it “interesting” what do You say?

“Honest Debate” must involve an impartial moderator who enforces the rules fairly and evenly. FR is no longer a place where honest debate can happen regarding Mormonism as the ultimate moderator has chosen sides in the debate.

[Courtesy ping to RM and JR because you’re mentioned]

Nah, I don’t buy it. If what one professed to believe in was worth fighting for, they’d take any opportunity to fight for it, regardless of any perceived handicaps imposed on the field.

The “rules” are quite clear, the RF RM does a fine job of moderating. Playing within those rules seems to have worked for many other groups. Why do the mormons feel they are entitled to be treated any differently in a debate?

The “ultimate moderator” [JR] may have “chosen sides”, but again, he hasn’t stopped mormons from posting comments or threads. Continuing to insist or imply that he has revoked posting priviledges is deceitful. He only revoked Caucus protection. That mormons choose not to post is not JR’s fault, it’s theirs.

That has been made clear time and time again and was self-evident because PD continued posting LdS articles for sometime until he crossed the line and got zotted.

It was clear to me that PD felt quite comfortable posting, his comments are a case study in just how comfortable he was and what he thought of his “opponents”.

Interesting analogy about debate.

See when debate occurs points are brought up, when the points brought up by one party are shown beyond the doubt of the reasoned and willing mind to be lacking then the points are ceded and debate ends.

Now if the side proven wrong refuses to acknowledge the obvious after an even battle on your proverbial “level playing field”, when the point continues to be made in the very face of overwhelming evidence and proof against it, it is no longer debate, it is comedy.

I am sure the Nephites would see it the same way.

If they had existed.

WHAT 'rules'; you fool!

This is RELIGION!

It can either stand on what it's history is or it can't - no matter HOW badly ELSIE offends you!
