Interesting analogy about debate.

See when debate occurs points are brought up, when the points brought up by one party are shown beyond the doubt of the reasoned and willing mind to be lacking then the points are ceded and debate ends.

Now if the side proven wrong refuses to acknowledge the obvious after an even battle on your proverbial “level playing field”, when the point continues to be made in the very face of overwhelming evidence and proof against it, it is no longer debate, it is comedy.

I am sure the Nephites would see it the same way.

If they had existed.

Interesting analogy about debate.

Even when it comes to the definition of the word "debate" the mormon will attempt to build a strawman. Did anyone notice the following from #325

Honest debate about Mormonism, that's simple, Mormons explain what they believe, others decide if they are interested.

For a mormon - there is no debate in debate - its just I get up on my soap box and say anything unopposed. Falsehoods go unchallenged, incorrect definitions float as true and misrepresentations presented as facts.

Thus the only 'level' playing field sought after here is one where there is no opposition.

I still wonder when the nephite exhibit will open at the Smithsonian.

If they had existed.

What do you MEAN 'if'!!??

I'm quite sure that if we WANTED to, Hill Cumorah would PROVE MORMONism beyond a DOUBT; with it's vast trove of archeological finds!
