“Giggity.”

I have purposely tried to leave sex out of this discussion though admittedly that is pretty hard to do when talking about the LDS.

I have purposely tried to leave sex out of this discussion...

Why?

Mammals can only "evolve" with heterosexual relationships.

Genesis confirms this idea...

Regardless of what we might think about polyandry or polygyny, there is no actual prohibition of it in the Bible.

But, there was a city called Sodom completely obliterated.

Clearly another one of my failed attempts at humor.

What does “giggity” mean to you?

Sorry, but polyandry is specifically prohibited -- Leviticus 20:10: “‘If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death.

yes, technically she would also be his wife, but she's also another man's wife.

Interesting... thanks for the information.

And, you do know the difference between polygyny and polyandry... something that is completely ignored by the ignorant when the polygamy discussion is aired, especially as it relates to that filthy faggot marriage topic.

well, gyny = female, andry = male. So polyandry = many males (husbands) and gyny = many females (wives). Both of these I oppose on Christian religious grounds. F*g*ot "marriage" is something which is rejected on religious grounds by me, but even more so, it is nonsensical on biological, sociological and historical (there have been no cultures with gay "marriages") grounds.

While I oppose the practices of the g**s, at the legal level, they are free to do what they like in the privacy of their houses -- but they are not Christian if they do. A person who has the tendency is like other folks who have the tendency to sin (well all of us have some tendency to sin one way or the other) and a person who has the g** urges yet does not act on it is honorable and I do not condemn him/her for the tendency not acted upon.

However, I cannot stand the way in which the proponents of this lifestyle want to foist it in our face -- what is the point of such a thing as a "pride" parade? Should peadeophiles and sheep lovers also have such pride parades?

and now DADT has been revoked.

How can the LDS church keep their members so uniformed and so misguided???

It is Scriptural!

Remember; MORMONism is built on the APOSTACY claim of Joseph Smith (Yeah, MORMONs. I know that 'god' told him about it) .

The bible even talks about APOSTACY:

2 Thessalonians 2

1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

1. DECEIVE you...
2. Above GOD "I've done more to hold the church together..."
3. Just HOW many 'temples' does the LDS Empire have around the world?
4. Lying wonders - golden plates
5. Deception- the treasure was there but a spirit took it away
6. equals Strong Delusion

The ORIGINAL?

Surely you JEST!

For we KNOW that the BIBLE must surely contain ERRORS; Joseph Smith SAID so!

—MormonDude(Besides; the bible does have all the little MORMONic tidbits in it. But, then again, neither has the Book of MORMON.)

The Articles of Faith
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

  1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
  2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
  3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
  4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
  5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
  6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
  7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
  8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
  9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
  10. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may
  11. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
  12. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Joseph Smith

It was shown that using the Caucus designation means nothing.

LIAR!

What was 'shown' was how certain people ABUSED the caucus designation!

Right Jim?

And you are killing time with your NON-answers.

The

DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS

OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS

SECTION 71

Revelation given to Joseph Smith the Prophet and Sidney Rigdon, at Hiram, Ohio, December 1, 1831. HC 1: 238–239. The Prophet had continued to translate the Bible with Sidney Rigdon as his scribe until this revelation was received, at which time it was temporarily laid aside so as to enable them to fulfill the instruction given herein. The brethren were to go forth to preach in order to allay the unfriendly feelings that had developed against the Church as a result of the publication of some newspaper articles by Ezra Booth, who had apostatized.

1–4, Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon are sent forth to proclaim the gospel; 5–11, Enemies of the saints shall be confounded.

1 Behold, thus saith the Lord unto you my servants Joseph Smith, Jun., and Sidney Rigdon, that the time has verily come that it is necessary and expedient in me that you should open your mouths in proclaiming my gospel, the things of the kingdom, expounding the mysteries thereof out of the scriptures, according to that portion of Spirit and power which shall be given unto you, even as I will.

2 Verily I say unto you, proclaim unto the world in the regions round about, and in the church also, for the space of a season, even until it shall be made known unto you.

3 Verily this is a mission for a season, which I give unto you.

4 Wherefore, labor ye in my vineyard. Call upon the inhabitants of the earth, and bear record, and prepare the way for the commandments and revelations which are to come.

5 Now, behold this is wisdom; whoso readeth, let him understand and receive also;

6 For unto him that receiveth it shall be given more abundantly, even power.

7 Wherefore, confound your enemies; call upon them to meet you both in public and in private; and inasmuch as ye are faithful their shame shall be made manifest.

8 Wherefore, let them bring forth their strong reasons against the Lord.

9 Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you—there is no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper;

10 And if any man lift his voice against you he shall be confounded in mine own due time.

11 Wherefore, keep my commandments; they are true and faithful. Even so. Amen.
