there is no reason that magnificent miracles of the previous scale needs to appear there now as opposed to when it was a fresh apparition and God was using it to advance the faith

Your post seems to be saying that ongoing devotion at the shrine of Lourdes does not presently "advance the faith." That does not make any sense to me. Indeed, there is no reason that magnificent miracles of the previous scale need to appear there now, but there was no absolute requirement for that in the first place, either. God need not have worked through an apparition at Lourdes, or anywhere else.

who cares?
its all just babble.
I just posted something to go along with the message that Verdugo will now not be allowed in Catholic Caucus threads.
But no one seems to care perhaps you all are just vested in your little tit-for-tat arguments.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand your point, RBIEL2. In my post #21, I politely (I believe) opened a discussion with Mr. (or Ms.) Beeline regarding the article’s topic. Of course, if he or she chooses not to elaborate, I will move on. It’s not truly important, just a passing thought.

Eventually, I will have to deal with the child who is screaming because he didn’t get “second lunch,” having failed to complete his handwriting assignment, and the child who has the radio turned up to Deafening in order to drown out the first child.

I was baptized Catholic, but to be honest, I haven’t participated or gone to church in a very long time.

I fully appreciate your statement because I have walked away in the past for long stretches of time. Each time, there were excuses but no real argument and, like you, I felt my faith was strong. Both times, however, I was drawn back by an unexpected invitation. The first was from a young boy preparing to make his Confirmation. He asked me to be his sponsor. I was caught off guard and could not say no to his sincere request. Stepping into the church that day, I was quickly drawn into the Mass. It was as though I were being fed and I did not want it to end. When the bishop spoke, it was as though he were speaking to me. I left so refreshed and determined to return the following Sunday.

Today, I am extending the same invitation to you. Whatever your reasons for stepping away, do not matter. Please consider the invitation and visit the following site. I will add you to my daily prayer list. Rest assured that our Lord is there, waiting for you, with open arms.
