I'm an American living in Europe (Poland) and can happily tell you that that premise is wrong.
There are many Christians here and even the non-Christians (northern Germans, English, Scots, Scandanavians, Dutch etc.) recognise and fight against Islam. It's slow, but the reprisal against Islam is starting up.
Cronos, I know (inre: premise of book) but I just found it interesting. The most interesting part is the detailed look at dhimmi-hood. Scary thought, since I am a woman.
