Advocates for victims of clergy abuse called Thursday for an investigation into its allegations that the Roman Catholic church purposely funneled problem priests into the chaplain corps of the U.S. military.
....members of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests called for congressional hearings to determine "how frequently and why Catholic officials dumped predator priests on military bases."
And they distributed documents that they said showed that Archbishop Edwin F. O'Brien ignored sexual misconduct by chaplains when he headed the U.S. Archdiocese for the Military Services.

Really? You’d just have the Catholic church announce the world, “all it takes to ruin any given priest you want is one unsubstantiated, unofficial, anonymous complaint.” Why, in no time, you’d have no-one willing to be a priest.

YOu and I both know that is SNAP had any instances of someone being reassigned to a military base due to a sex-related offense THEN committing a crime, they’d’ve leapt at it. Because we both have seen their Philadelphia report and we both know that SNAP will clamor after the weakest of cases. But they didn’t cite any. Instead, they publish a list of every priest who has been accused of anything before or after being sent to the military diocese, with no hint that any of them were accused, assigned to the diocese, and then accused again.

Really, it’s so well known, you can’t substantiate your allegations at all, Jim?

Really, Dingle? Since you have the report and you published the list of cases, surely you can point out at least three cases which contradict the bishop, can’t you? No? Or is this a case of ignoring adjectives and qualifiers O’Brien plainly inserted to keep the scope of his statement down to relevant charges. Of course it is, Dingle, because you want more money, which is why you took your case to the news media before taking it to the courts.

I would like nothing better than to see the Roman Catholic church reformed to bring it into alignment with God's word.

Do you have a link? It’s amazing that not ONE of the incidences you post involve being sent to the military diocese AFTER abuse was alleged. IOW, the support the “victims’ group” provided is inconcistent with their assertions.
If you go to the website of “Bishop Accountablity” and search for military you will find the article and the profiles I mention.
Please show me any post where I've said I'm "trying to destroy" the Roman Catholic church.
And because you will not find any such comment by me, your post is against the rules because it is mind-reading.
What a shame their legacy has been tarnished by the very church they served.
