The outgoing, officially Christian, president doesn't want to give up his office, his supporters are engaged in battle against the supporters of the new Muslim president -- what looks like a civil war situation: 40,000 people seek protection in churches.
Abidjan (kath.net/idea) In the appearances of civil unrest in the West African country of Ivory Coast, Christians are being annihilated. They have been attacked by Islamic extremists; a number of churches have been burned down, according to the President of the US-branch of the relief organization Open Doors, Carl Moeller (Santa Ana/State of California) to the information service of Mission Network News.

I do wish that either or both of you could provide just a bit of explanation, so that each and every time I see either of those names used in beginning a thread, I wouldn't be reminded of how I've never gotten any sort of reply or explanation from you, no matter how many times I've asked, other than to have you to high-handedly refer me to "the moderators". That was insulting. Like a slap in the face.
But you want to help those in need, too, by publishing or spreading info on their plight. A worthy endeavor, but meanwhile...
If some indications from you, or answers to the simple questions could be forthcoming (it would not take much, on your own part, I assure you), then the matter could be laid to rest, and the attention put on much more weighty things, such as the plight of those Christians in the Ivory Coast, as is the focus of this article!
Wouldn't that be desirable? What do you have to lose, other than perhaps a wee bit of pride?
