Catholic Word of the Day: FIRE OF HELL, 03-09-11
CatholicReference.net ^ | 03-09-11 | Fr. John Hardon's Modern Catholic Dictionary

Posted on 03/09/2011 8:33:51 AM PST by Salvation

Featured Term (selected at random):

FIRE OF HELL

The physical reality, outside the person, by which those in hell are punished besides their loss of the vision of God. It is called fire in the Scriptures to emphasize the excruciating pain it causes, and to identify it as some external agent tormenting the lost. But it is not ordinary fire, since it does not consume what it burns, and, although material, it can affect the purely spiritual substance of the soul.

O my Jesus, save us from the fires of Hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of your mercy.

I see infanticide listed there, very good.

How someone votes is a pretty good indicator of whether they are a Christian or not. Now before I get flamed for suggesting that a persons salvation is dependent upon how they vote, let me just clarify.

A person could vote Republican and still be headed for hell!

If they accept Christ into their hearts and thank Him/Jesus for dying on the Cross for their sins, repenting from their sins, then they will be saved.

However the key is repent! Yes we will have struggles with sin until we leave this corruptible body, but if we are voting Democrat we are spitting on Christ and really showing that our faith is not genuine.

So yes for me, and I believe it to be Scriptural, voting Democrat is a clear indicator that the Spirit of Christ is not within a person. Voting Democrat means that they support infanticide first and foremost, it means they want to prevent children from being able to read God`s word in school or the public square, it really means a person just has no respect for Christ at all, from the many Supreme Court decisions etc that Democrats will appoint.

So if someone with a Obama sign on their front lawn tells you they are a Christian, dont buy it! Matters not if they go to Church etc, maybe they just got back from singing hymns, but if they vote Democrat it`s simply a fraud.

Yes Republicans still have to accept Christ no matter how they vote, or their end will be no different than that of the Democrat
