If it wasn’t attributed to someone specifically, it would be just dismissed as the ravings of a lunatic, like those wackos who yell random phrases on the streetcorners.
How can anyone adhere to such insanity?
I don’t trust all this newfangled religion. I’m going to stick with the tried and true: Orthodox Judaism!
All the rest of you newcomers can wait another thousand years or two to see if you thingie works!
:-)
Introduction to Blasphemy 101
The use of profanity (embedded in the graphic in this case) is strictly prohibited in the Religion forum.
Hey ... this is sounds like a pretty intricate and common sense religion!
Imagine that .... God has a greater plan for mankind in the afterlife than to develop a Choir to tell him how wonderful he is ... like the rest of the Pro-Creed Christians!
Where does all this detail come from? instead of the neutral brushes of today’s non-denomination watered down Christianity?? Must be through Modern Revelation ..... Behold God and Christ are once again communicating with Mankind! Can you recognize thier familiar voice? .... or was thier voice never all that familiar to you in the first place .... because you abdicated and let your Pastor pick and choose what “He/She” thinks that God wants you to know?
“Less well understood, however, is the fact that God is an exalted man who once lived on an earth and underwent experiences of mortality”
What the hell is this garbage?
I am sorry. I was posting for the silly nature of Mormonism. Not busting your post. Apologies.
How could there have been a man destined to evolve to become God without God already being there?
A lot of religious beliefs violate common sense and simple logic.
This is one of the nuttier beliefs of the lds church... of course, there are plenty of others but that’s the way cults are.
I am not LDS but I think it unfair to post an anonymous source as there is no way to verify if it is an anti Mormon site or from actual LDS teachings.
Just go to the OP link and see for yourself that the source is a referenced official LDS publication. Don’t be so quick to offer ignorant apologetics.
Out of curiosity, what is the /Anti/? in the title?
In the very beginning the Bible shows there is a plurality of Gods beyond the power of refutation. It is a great subject I am dwelling on. The word Eloheim ought to be in the plural all the way through--Gods. The heads of the Gods appointed ONE God for us... (Joseph Smith, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 372)I will go back to the beginning, before the world was, to show what kind of a being God is. What sort of a being was God in the beginning? Open your ears and hear, all ye ends of the earth; for I am going to prove it to you by the Bible, and to tell you the designs of God in relation to the human race, and why he interferes with the affairs of man. God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted Man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens. That is the great secret. (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 3, 1844)
And there is so much more blasphemy that we could post! Momronism is no Christianity.

Just thought the title should have given the name of the source. It is obvious it is from official teachings. I just think the title should indicate that.
I think it would be more accurate to give the source as
“Achieving A Celestial Marriage Student Manual.” as that is what the article is excerpted from. It also lets readers now the source is compatible with LDS official teaching. Just my opinion.
Gee, makes wanna forget God is everlasting .... /s
