Jack Van Impe for all his flaws is not a slouch researcher and neither is Holly Deo. I have great confidence it is as they asserted.

We will not bow to some alien-quixotic institution of white-hanky dancers who say "ooh, I follow Holly and Jack"

All that we ask for is a shred of
—honesty
—objectivity
—insight
—candor
—integrity
—consistency
—solid Biblical understanding
—historical accuracy
—logical thought processes

and yet we get none from those outside orthodoxy.

Right

The Gospel as in what Christ himself said, as in a subset of the Gospels. I feel sure you must have just momentarily forgotten this usage.

Yeah, this whole discussion is focused on Christ and Him crucified, isn't it?

With all due respect, I don't think any certification has been done on that yet. Perhaps a good psychologist could be recommended? Are there any psychiatrists in the house?

ROTFLOL!! funneee. And yet, sadly seems true except perhaps for the "momentarily" word.

I'm guessing you missed all of the trills and drama when I demonstrated how those who advocate Premillennial Dispensationalism as it is practiced now, show all clinical signs of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Our multi-font-of-many-colors fanatic here displays these symptoms to the point of caricature.

Can one joke and be serious at the same time?

“Sounds like more unaware idiotic assumptions, to me.”

No. Unfortunately I know what I am talking about. This nonsense has afflicted someone close to me. To the extent that you preach your version of such Gospel you ruin lives and destroy families.

This end-times nonsense is the fallback position of a lifetime of failure - sometimes associated with mental illness.

There is much more to life than the apocalypse. If you can’t find it, I am truly sad for you.

That you attack me so strongly (well, as best you can) is an indicator that I’m getting close to the mark.

Go ask one of your apocalypse friends, and they’ll say it’s the work of “demons” or some such other nonsense.

You should live your life like it is the beginning of time, not the end of time. You have an entire world to work with. Go get it, and help it be better.

NOPE.

Quite the opposite, actually.

BTW, HYPER INTENSE RELIGIOUS OBSESSIONS

OF ANY KIND

can be associated with brain abnormalities.

Looks like your awareness and analyses are greatly flawed

YET AGAIN.

“they don’t believe in anything but themselves”

Those that would lead folks into this aren’t even Christians. They use scripture to get whatever it is they want for themselves. It’s not always money. Sometimes its respect/admiration, sometimes its sexual perversion, and sometimes its the power to manipulate other people.

What better lever than the apocalypse for this end? People get scared that there isn’t much time, and look to someone else to tell them what to do before it’s too late.

Things like dream interpretation and false prophecy go hand-in-hand with these folks.

I don’t like that I know these people so well. But I do. I’ve been forced to learn about them, and I know personally the evil that they bring to people who otherwise could be functional and contribute to world in meaningful ways.

Please learn to spell “analysis”

In your case, I suspect, there is no brain abnormality. Just a quirky personality. Someone you trusted led you astray and one day you’ll get it and give them the disdain that they deserve. Until then, you’ll find (as they point out) the apocalypse behind every tree, under every rock - and they’ll continue to separate you from your money “for your own good”.

that DARBY WAS A JOHNY COME LATELY WITH THE IDEA.
The documention I provided DEMONSTRATED THAT
THAT
ASSERTION
WAS UNMITIGATED HOGWASH.

Actually it did no such thing, it only proves that your Dispensational heritage, at best, is Heretical. Your chief claim denied the Millennium, denied an earthly reign, left out Armegeddon, Gog/Magog, pretty much 90% of the stuff you claim. Furthermore, there was no mention of rapture, so we don't know what exactly he had in mind.

What it did do to support Dispensationalism is do what ALL of your prophets do - give failed prophecies. Read Pseudo Ephraim again, and you will clearly see that the Prophetic words he saw, the nations that would rise up were not the ones that your Prophecy Pimps claim today. Different Bibles, gross incompetence in interpretation, or is it possible that your theory is dreadfully wrong?

Typical of your Narcissistic Personality Disorder, you see things that aren't there, you change what says differently, praise and worship those who agree with you and curse those who disagree with you.

Your just our typical, lovable, Quix. Always good for a laugh. Keep it up, your unhinged rantings alone are sufficient to discredit your entire eschatology, and I deeply appreciate it - makes my day.

oh, I remember that one:
From all I can tell, particularly from the typical incoherent ramblings from characters like Quix is that to the Dispensationalist, the Bible is a closed book and you derive all of your prophetic "truth" from TBN and the New York Time

Thanks for the reminder Quix, though I would rather get my facts through research and scholarship rather than technicolor wild-eyed ravings from certifiable lunatics

Narcissitic Personality disorder --> yes, and probably coupled with an Obsessive-Compulsive disorder and strangely enough also an Inferiority Complex -- I think that many of those who display NPD are also profoundly affected by an inferiority complex.

it's like a "look-at-me" syndrome, extreme exhibitionism brought on because the person is sad that he has mis-spent his life and now at 60+ has, as RFengineer put it futile desire to bring meaning to ones life - simply by “being there when it all happened”. Profound mental, and likely physical laziness goes with the type.

This is the same guys who say that they call on spirits to kill a man, so hanging that as a threat when anyone breaks their complacency and shows them how puffed up about nothing they are....

you see the same problems among liberals and it seems it is also displayed by our multi-font challenged ones here.

“Well put, though I fear it will fall on deaf ears.”

Someone will read it, and it will hopefully plant a seed of sanity in their head so they will not fall prey to those that would victimize them in the name of God.

When I want to use analysis, I use analysis.

When I want to use analyses—plural—I use analyses.

Engineers are educated in English, right?

No, my escathology came primarily from Scripture.

Have gone through a period or 3 in life of laying aside all but the super barest essentials and starting over with just God’s Word.

Perhaps that would be of help to you.

“When I want to use analysis, I use analysis”

I gave you the benefit of that doubt at first, too. However, it became clear later that you simply were misspelling the singular version.

That brings in another aspect of “end-times” folks. They lie to themselves. They cannot admit the truth of the matter, much less the Truth of the matter because after that there is nothing left but oblivion.

“Engineers are educated in English, right?”

Actually, it is more common for engineers to be poor at spelling and grammar. I’m usually an exception though - but not at all immune to misspellings and the odd split-infinitive.

Standard response -- denial, then "I don't have a problem -- everyone has a problem". Next you'll see the next phase "I don't have a problem, everyone else does"
