I’ve never cared for Hannity.

the priest's admission of violating his vow of chastity due to human weakness, which Fr. Euteneuer said "did not involve the sexual act."

Well then what exactly did it involve?

Hannity is the product of the “Confraternity of Christian Doctrine” program which muddles the formation of conscience. Notice how Hannity last night argued this sin is not as bad as that sin so I would rather people commit this lesser but serious sin and conveniently left out what he as a Christian is called to do which is to avoid sin and to help others do so as well.

Had Hannity bothered to study the old Baltimore Catechism or the newer Catechism of the Catholic Church, he would know what he said last night on his show is a serious sin in that it is scandalous and induces others to sin and any priest worth his salt would call him aside to discuss the matter and suggest he not present himself to receive the Holy Eucharist.

Perhaps we need to start calling him Mario Hannity and the former governor of New York Sean Cuomo.

...He's so self righteous. He spent years raising money off this exchange with me and building his name recognition...

He raised money for HLI! Jeesh Hannity, self righteousness is not something for you to be lecturing anyone about.

Hannity doesn’t realize that we all sin but those who love Christ confess and strive to move forward aligning our souls more with Him. Hannity thinks we just choose a sinful life and still call ourselves Christians.

I am extremely sorry to hear this. I was wondering why HLI has had an acting head for the past month or two, in letters I have received from them. Whatever he did, I think he did an excellent job when he took over from Fr. Marx as head of HLI.

I think he was a good man who stumbled. Making fun of him is just plain stupid.

I appreciate that Sean tries to maintain principles and decorum on his show, since so many shows are not worth watching. IMHO, he comes across as a mature, responsible and respectful personality.

I’m not sure of his stance on every issue, but obviously on the subject of birth control he’s misguided. While I don’t want to defend his position, most of the country is misguided on that - including many conservatives - as it’s a tough lesson to learn. A way for people to start seeing the truth is to remember that while fornication is a sin that is very difficult for people to avoid, birth control does not actually do much to solve the problem of out-of-wedlock pregnancy, as many casual relations are between people who don’t use birth control anyway, and it’s ubiquity does contribute to people being comfortable with fornication.

With patience and clarity the truth can be spoken on this subject and people can understand it.

By his actions he has proven Fr. Tom to be correct. Sean Hannity is a “cultural catholic/cino”. Sean is gloating over someone else’s failings, he is a real arrogant jerk.

If Hannity would stop saying “You know” every other sentence, he could reduce his radio show to 30 minutes.

Nothing changes the truth of the charges leveled against Hannity by Fr. Euteneuer.

Hannity's cheap tut-tutting at the fall of Euteneuer is remarkably childish, uncharitable and ungracious--most especially because the father's attempt to inform Hannity of the error of his views was a spiritual act of mercy. Using Euteneuer's sin to implicitly strengthen his perverse "Catholicism" only compounds the gravity of Hannity's scandalous behavior.

I pray that Sean and all similarly misguided Catholics are given the grace of humility, avail themselves of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and return to a loving obedience to the authority of the Church they claim to believe in.

Sean Hannity & Bill O'Reilly, both Catholics in name only...

Anyone that get any of their information from these two regarding the faith will most assuredly be led astray. The Church does not benefit from such clueless as these two...

I’m sorry that Mr. Hannity wasn’t able to rise above this. We need more adults in the conservative movement, and fewer teenage boys who Nyah Nyah Nyah.

The fact that Hannity brought this up again after Fr. Euteneuer gave a contrite humble public confession was to somehow act like he is superior to this humble priest and shows the depths of Hannity’s lack of compassion.

Hannity is arrogant and prideful and is only out to please the crowd that glorifies him and makes him money. He lives in a bubble just many Hollywood actors do -surrounded by people who kiss up to them as if they are some sort of God

I won’t be surprised if Our Lord allows the devil to attack Hannity to bring him to his knees over this sort of thing

"He's so self righteous. He spent years raising money off this exchange with me and building his name recognition," Hannity said.

Exactly the wrong reaction, Sean. You don't gloat over someone's fall from grace.

Priests like Fr. Euteneuer who are charged with preaching the word of God in the public eye are under extraordinary attacks from the Prince of this World. Many, sadly, will succumb. You will notice that unlike Fr. Cutie, Fr. Euteneuer has repented, publicly humbled himself, and appears serious in his contrition.

We need to pray for him and all priests.
