DUBLIN -- A 1997 letter from the Vatican warned Ireland's Catholic bishops not to report all suspected child-abuse cases to police - a disclosure that victims' groups described as "the smoking gun" needed to show that the church enforced a worldwide culture of covering up crimes by pedophile priests.
The newly revealed letter, obtained by Irish broadcasters RTE and provided to The Associated Press, documents the Vatican's rejection of a 1996 Irish church initiative to begin helping police identify pedophile priests following Ireland's first wave of publicly disclosed lawsuits...

Considering the source, would you expect anything less.
A better method would have been immediate public denunciation and shaming. The church and its seminaries were infected in the 60’s and 70’s by liberal freaks of all kinds, and what it really needed was a good purging.
The Catholic church was quick enough to ex-communicate Luther.
Catholics are quick enough to tell me that I ex-communicated myself.
And they not only do not ex-communicate these priests who commit these vile sins, but go out of their way to protect them?
And they claim that Jesus gave these men the power through apostolic succession to send others to hell through binding their sins to them?
They claim to represent Christ on earth? Would Christ behave like that?

It’s inconceivable to think that any of these men posing as priests made it in to heaven. If their priesthood is a farce, then the people who received sacraments from them have been deceived.

While it feel tender towards my brothers and sisters in Christ, I must say to a FR Catholic who told me I must eventually return to “The one true church”...I must say it will be a cold day in Hell.

How on earth can you excommunicate yourself?
Apparently Rome finds it difficult to excommunicate “another Christ.”
Blasphemy in; blasphemy out.
According to Crimen Solicitationis, the victim and his family all face excommunication if they even speak about the sexual abuse to anyone other than a church official.
And they wonder why it takes years to prosecute these crimes.
What he said....Oh my, this is so sad.
Yeah, but what about school teachers and other professionals?
