"We are compelled to concede to the Papists
that they have the Word of God,
that we received it from them,
and that without them
we should have no knowledge of it at all."

~ Martin Luther

Luther said all sorts of stupid things. I don’t worship Luther. I worship Jesus.

I’m not finding the original document with that supposed quote from Martin Luther. All I’m finding is Papist apologist websites with that quote. I’m not even finding the book in which this quote supposedly appears, “Commentary on St. John.” I am finding a few sermons on St. John, but no “Commentary on St. John. I’d like to read it in its original context, if it even exists.

I suspect the quote is fabricated by Roman Catholics.

Here is a real quote from Martin Luther: “We believe not the Papists, because they teach not the Word of God, neither can they teach it.”

Hm. You seem so bent on promoting Rome, “Salvation,” that you’ll revise history and provide spurious quotations to do so. You have my pity.
