“Warning”?
Maybe “Attention”, but I don’t think it deserves “Warning”

"Researcher Ray Yungen explains that energy healing is a force or energy pouring out of the practitioners hands into the client or subject."
So it's come to this. Practitioners of hokum and bunkum masquerading as medical "researchers" and "healers." Shamans, incantations, and witchcraft. God help us. I didn't think it possible, but we really and truly have descended to Third World status.

You hit the nail on the head. Pharma companies often see a 20-25% placebo effect when they test emerging medicines.
Reiki has a placebo effect in that it helps improve focus and relaxation. Nothing wrong with that. The rest is a bunch of mumbo jumbo.

So the witch doctor caricature of the one was not that far off after all.

A recent study revealed that placebos are just as effective as real meds in relieving pain
Been a known fact for as long as I can remember. Heck, there was even a MASH episode about placebos.

They started that process with Avastin. For dying breast cancer patients, the life saving drug has too many adverse side effects to allow, so they can’t take it, with the side effect of dying sooner.

If somebody not affiliated with government tried charging for this, they'd go to jail.

Quackery, such as reiki, chiropractic, reflexology, etc., are cheap means to delay diagnosis and effective care. Occasionally, the patient will really save the carrier money and croak in the interval. You really have no clue what you are talking about. Not a single one.

When I type the acupuncture transcription follow-ups I’m always interested to see how the patient says it worked. So far most of the results are positive. I don’t know anything about it, but keep an open mind. Reiki I don’t know- it’s new - as a Christian I do believe in healing, but how that relates to Reiki and this “energy” I don’t know. As a Christian, how does one view that?

I saw this at a hospital I worked at 15 years ago.....
In fact I kinda got into it with a nurse about it.....
IOW...this isn't new.
To: seton89
I wouldn’t call it all quackery.........

Funny story....
My mom calls me a few years ago..and tells me she'd been having some knee pain. I ask what she's been doing about it...she hesitates..and say's she doesn't want to tell me. Ha!!
Finally I get it out of her...she had gone to a acupuncture guy...and he caused her pain to go away. It worked for her...!!

Chiropractic should in no way be lumped in with reiki. Every adult member of my family, save my daughter-in-law, has visited a chiropractor, with outstanding results.
Prior to my first chiropractic visit, I was told to "just take more Tylenol."

It’s a known fact that placebo is as effective as morphine or novacaine.
Remember to remind your dentist or surgeon before your next procedure.

>Basically, what all energy healing entails is opening up the chakras through meditation or transferring the kundalini power from someone already attuned to it. (FMSC, pp. 76-77).<
What does that mean in English?

FIR energy was recognized decades ago by NASA. Sometime in the past 20 years the connection was made that the chi energy from a human was measured in the same wavelength spectrum.
You might check out http://www.StepbackAMoment.com and follow the Health / FIRe path for more information. (Blatant self-promotion)

Far infrared energy is just heat.
Far infrared sensors are in common use, to find heat leaks in your house or tracking vehicles in the dard.
Trying to attribute some life force to FIR radiation would point to warm engines and hot water bottles sharing the same life force.
