FIR energy was recognized decades ago by NASA. Sometime in the past 20 years the connection was made that the chi energy from a human was measured in the same wavelength spectrum.

Far infrared sensors are in common use, to find heat leaks in your house or tracking vehicles in the dard.
Trying to attribute some life force to FIR radiation would point to warm engines and hot water bottles sharing the same life force.
