Can you interpret this for me....Clean it up, maybe clarify?
I can't respond intelligently until you do....
I mean really, you be posting like...ummmmm "another" poster here.
He actually WAS/IS God. That’s the part you keep missing.
Instead of "relying on your own understanding", try doing some actual cultural reasearch into the time and place of Jesus. Polygamy was quite uncommon.
Anyway, how would that jibe with what some LDS say about Jesus having practiced polygamy? I understand that that was the true way, it was lost over the ages, and then Joseph Smith "restored" it.
Could Jesus have been ineligible to be a bishop in His own church?
Yup...
MORMONs REFUSE to follow what GOD plainly told them to do in D&C 132.
DEAL WITH IT!
REAL Mormon's PRACTICE what GOD told them to do; but the bigger group of HYPOCRITS can't STAND that they do it!
(Makes them look; oh, I don't know; like WIMPS maybe?)
Of COURSE!
What ELSE would a Superior Being make?
I've called you names;
What are you going to do about it?
BAck to training school for you!
With TWO physical bodies?
Even a school boy can figger THIS one out!
I will not judge any persons religion, it just is not my job. Nowhere in the New Testament are we commanded to judge another religion. We are to bring the message...gospel to people, if it is not accepted, we wipe the dirt off of our shoes and move on. Man plants the seeds, God provides the seed (the Word) and causes them to grow. I don’t know how you would approach a Mormon and tell them to repent and believe, when they already believe....rightly or wrongly. There are people on this Earth that have had their eyes and ears sealed shut, to protect them. Mormons may be a part of that group.
(It might be your posts...)
Like DU says...
God bless.
But you'll have to driveby again; as you've missed the intended target.
(Hint: we just LOVE it when MORMONs show up with their ATTITUDES on display. It cuts down on the amount of typing that we have to do.)
Uh... you've spelled HERETIC wrong.
I agree with both y’all!
runninglips,
As it turns out, your post is incorrect.
A Christian who knows the Bible, (which IS translated correctly) knows that pertains to fellow Christians who are acting in a hypocritical manner, we are not to judge the hearts of our brothers and sisters in the family of Christ
HOWEVER...
We can judge actions and also teachings and doctrine that are false or contrary to the Word of God...
JOHN 7:14: Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
LUKE 12:57: Yea, and why not even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?
PSALM 37:30: The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
PROVERBS 31:9: Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
LUKE 17:3: Take heed... If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent,
2 Peter 2:1-3 but there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovreign Lord who bought them - bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping
1 John 4:1 dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world
1 Timothy 4:1-8 1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
6If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. 7Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
Righteous judgment of the words, teachings and doctrines of others is perfectly allowable by God.
