One Mediator Between God and Men: CHRIST JESUS
2010
| God's Word

1 Timothy 2:5 ...one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
There is NO debate here: God's Word clearly points out who the mediator is between God and men: i.e., Christ Jesus
If you believe in God's Word, who is Christ Jesus: The Word of God, then 1 Timothy 2:5 will be easily be understood as Christ the mediator.

Just tell me IN PRACTICE how does YOUR veneration of Mary differ from your worship of God?? Lots of Catholics on FR have already answered this question of yours, in countless threads across the years. Yet, somehow, you fail to understand, and must continually ask. Why should anyone bother, anymore?

Not an unimportant point. Her fiat to God through the angel Gabriel in His plan of our Salvation History has everything to do with Eternity for all of Creation. What impact does the POSTPARTUM Marys sex life have to do with your salvation...

Catholic tradition is CHRISTIAN tradition.
Is that looking for some blessing on 'man's tradition"?
Is Mary the handmaiden of The Lord and the mother of Jesus who filled the destiny she was called to or something more than that?

I ASKED
IN YOUR PRACTICE how does YOUR Veneration differ from YOUR worship..if you can not answer that all you have is word play that all the protestants here see through You very to the point answer
So sweetie tell us how your sect worships God?
My dear honey pie ... your lack of an answer has answered the question... there is none.. iIN PRACTICE the queen of heaven, the dispenser of all grace, is worshipped/venerated exactly the same as God.. and apparently is as worthy as god to be worshiped..
that is why we call her a goddess..

What impact does the POSTPARTUM Marys sex life have to do with your salvation... You seem to be the one obsessed with it. She had one child. Her Child was God, the Son of God.
Try reading Matthew 2:13-15. The Child and His Mother.

that is why we call her a goddess.. That's going too far. She was a Jewish maiden, preserved by God from all stain of sin, redeemed by Christ her Child, God the Son of God. She wasn't a goddess.

"I wonder if these people are familiar with any good mothers?" Hatred is a cancerous disease. Over time it consumes and destroys reason, love and beatitude if left unchecked. I suspect that the anonymity of the internet allows some the opportunity and platform to vent their inner most destructive and hateful thoughts, things they would never say in polite company, in front of their children and grandchildren, fellow congregationalists, or face to face to a Catholic. Others are pure evil.

I think there is some misery wants company going on.
Isaiah 29:13 The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men.
Mark 7:6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “’These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

"That's going too far." Of course it is, but it is so easily recognizable as a lie that everyone with any interest in the subject already knows better. Simply step back and see what is being attempted. It obviously wasn't posted to change reality, simply to inflict emotional pain on Catholics. In this Advent season we should remember our own call to beatitude and pray for her.

Do you think your venom for the mother Mary in anyway brings you closer to her son our Lord Jesus?
Do you have children? What would their reaction be if someone despised you?
For me I would rather have Mary on my side interceding on my behalf, because I am only a man whom is far from perfect, so any prayers are surely appreciated on my behalf whether they are from you or the Mother Mary.

Being Mother of the man, JESUS isn't good enough for Catholics.
And His once death on the Cross wasn't good enough, they recreate it daily.
And Jesus, The Word isn't good enough, they need tradition and doctrine of man.
And His salvation by grace through faith isn't good enough, they add their works.
Jesus is the Mediator but they go to Mary or the saint of their desire.

The vast majority of Christians worldwide including Catholics, Orthodox, Coptic, and many Protestants believe that Mary carried and gave birth to Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is God.
Folks, who do not believe this, are lying or just plain ignorant when they falsely call themselves Christian.

By your understanding, you would also have to presume that John the Baptist was greater than Peter, Paul, John the evangelist, James and the rest of the disciples, for they were also born of women by that time.Luke 7:27-28 This is he of whom it is written,
"'Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.' I tell you, among those born of women none is greater than John. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."
It doesn't take a whole lot of understanding or reading comprehension to get that. Jesus Himself said that there was no one born who was greater than John.
If you choose to disagree with that, you'll find yourself at odds with the clear, plain teaching of Jesus on the matter.

And His once death on the Cross wasn't good enough, they recreate it daily.Since God is transcendent, the Eucharistic sacrifice is an event outside of time and is a participation in the original event.
