One Mediator Between God and Men: CHRIST JESUS
2010 | God's Word

Posted on 12/03/2010 4:14:50 PM PST by bibletruth

1 Timothy 2:5 ...one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

There is NO debate here: God's Word clearly points out who the mediator is between God and men: i.e., Christ Jesus

If you believe in God's Word, who is Christ Jesus: The Word of God, then 1 Timothy 2:5 will be easily be understood as Christ the mediator.

When our understanding of dimension Time improves, perhaps you will see that Jesus Who now occupies a physical body can hear every prayer uttered simultaneously from human souls, and how, PERHAPS, His earthly Mother now ‘beyond the veil’ can hear millions of prayers and hear each one individually. PERHAPS.

When one dwells in the Beatific Vision, the Communion of the Saints occurs within the context of that Beatific vision. God hears all prayers, and if those alive in Christ on earth (in a state of Grace, with the indwelling of the Holy Trinity) ask those alive in Christ in Heaven (in the state of Grace, in the Beatific Vision with the Holy Trinity) for intercessory prayer, there is simply no reason God cannot share these requests with the living saints in Heaven, and these saints cannot in turn intercede at the judgment seat of the same Blessed Trinity.

This concept is neither difficult nor in any way in violation of scripture.

Those who twist these simple Truths to try to attack the Church, on the other hand, are indeed acting in violation of scripture.

I read it and did not weep. Rather, I read it and rejoiced.

Well I'm sure you would...Mary is the Mediatrix, the Coredeemer, the Coredemptor...Your pope agrees...Who cares that God rejects that idea, eh???

Wrong...the only one praying for us in heaven is the Holy Spirit and Christ. No one else alive or dead can know the thoughts or hearts of men. There is a great speration between those in heaven and us. If one thinks they are seeing a spirit..they are being deceived by the enemy of God...who changes himself into an angel of light...in a heartbeat!

That was for Jesus’s benifit...we are not the Christ nor are we giving our life for the sins of the world.

She (mary) is what every Christian should aspire to.

That statement flies in the face of Christ...who said we are to follow Him..not His mother.

*"intercession," by definition, is mediation before a superior party on behalf of an inferior party.

Ain't buying that...God isn't either...

We all know what intercession is...Someone praying on your behalf...

We also know what a mediator is...A person who negotiates a postition between two or more parties...

The Catholic claim is that Mary receives the graces from God and she then divvies them out as she see fit...

No way, Jose'...All grace comes from Jesus and goes directly to the recipient...

If God did not want to work through men, He would not have made Jesus a man and instead send down some stone tablets or the like. God knew that written words would not suffice so God sent his Son as a man to teach men the meaning of God is Love.

Jesus, in turn, spread the word through earthy men. Because He would not write a how-to manual He sent the Holy Spirit to guide men. The Holy Spirit has continued to guide His successors. He promised to be with them until the end of time. Thanks be to God.

That argument holds no water and been played and re-played on these threads.

Just because you don't like it or it has been told before has no impact on the validity of an argument.

...and on the other hand we have those who cannot and will not accept authentic truth because exposure to those facts really will not matter to them until they feel the fires of hell lapping at their feet.

When one dwells in the Beatific Vision, the Communion of the Saints occurs within the context of that Beatific vision.

Classic catholic gibberish....Christ never stated such a confabbled bunch of nonesense as this statement reads. He kept it simple..."Follow Me"....not a church, not a pope, and surely not any man alive or dead.

Ignorant twaddle sounds good....only to the twaddler. Twaddlers will keep twaddling regardless of the truth. That is what they do, they twaddle.

When some are at loss for words crafting their own words does seem to make them feel better....so you’re “twaddling” again I see. LOL

There is no arguement...debating solid issues is fine...chasing after fantasies which rob men of the fullness we have in Christ is futile and accomplishes no good thing.

Nope, but I do recognize twaddle, like yours, when it gets spread about. Those who attack the Church that Our Lord gave us often engage in twaddle, as the Truth seems hidden from them.
