The winner at last night’s “Funniest Celebrity” competition in Washington D.C. was White House speechwriter Jon Lovett. In a quip he made about the TSA’s pat downs, he said, “it’s giving a way for, you know, defrocked priests to get their lives back together, giving back to the community, lend a…Well, not lend a hand, but you know.”

If you believe that defrocked, child-molesting priests should still be considered Catholic, somebody needs to inform the ex-priest's diocese. But what the heck - if Teddy Kennedy can get a full Catholic burial presided over by a Cardinal, who lashed out at critics without comment from the Pope, I suppose anyone can be considered Catholic - and opposing anything they do can be considered anti-Catholic - if the mood is right.
