Yeah, but his wife was still ticked off that in his enthusiasm, he exposed himself like a common perv. And scripture doesn't mention any of the prophets, or God directly, taking David to task over it.

Ergo things which may at first glance appear to be "wild" *might* still happen to be inspired by God.

Discernment (rather than broad brush) might be a better tool.
