"Only with charity, supported by hope and illuminated by the light of faith and reason, is it possible to achieve the goals of the integral liberation of man and universal justice", the Holy Father writes.
Who’s going to do it? With all due respect to the Pope I suggest that he instruct the priesthood first - and discipline those who teach something else.
Pope Benedict is making it VERY clear that some Catholics have warped the Church’s social teaching into something it was not meant to be. You will see the increasing attention given to evangelization.....of both poorly catechized Catholics and others.
Let’s pray for this. ;-)

If you're taking my money and giving it to someone else, it isn't charity on my part. It's subservience to government.
Amen!
agreed! It is not charity at all but the blind leading the blind into a ditch so to speak.
I think that if Catholics or any faith are properly instructed in reading the scriptures so they get converted , Christ will work through them in the world..no need for lists and rules
