There was a moment of silence, and the band came onto the field and played the
Alma Mater. (That was at the beginning of the second half, if I recall).
Quit your whining, Mr. Voris. You sound more upset that a prayer wasn't staged (and nationally broadcast), instead of being upset about the poor kid.

Interesting -- I'm not sure what difference it makes one way or another, in a sense that this tragic death wouldn't have gotten much attention except for the fact that the incident occurred at a football practice.
That Whitlock guy who writes an online column for the Fox Sports website has been calling for the Notre Dame head coach to be fired over this incident.
