Recently a family member started attending a Pentecostal school founded by Pastor Randy Clark near Harrisburg to become a Pentecostal preacher. I was asked by another family member if I knew anything about this school.

I had not heard of Randy Clark before, but I had heard of the Toronto Blessing from Catholic periodicals years ago. When I found out that Randy Clark began the Toronto Blessing movement in 1994, I started digging further.

I didn't like what I found. I've tried to summarize it here in this thread.

I think it all comes together in helping understand the strident animosity of some Pentecostals to Catholicism and certain Catholic and Marian devotions.

Not surprisingly, Ephesus was also the site chosen by the church of that day for the Council of Ephesus in 431 AD which officially declared that Mary is the "mother of God."

Though it was Elizabeth, wife of a Jewish priest, who first said this.

Yeah, the C Peter Wagner bunch are the Apostates of God's promised Delusion in Thessalonians and Isaiah..

I will send strong delusion... on those who do not tremble at my word.

Cindy Jacobs is one of the worst false prophets of the End Time. She prophesies out of Jezebel. All that fake spiritual warfare stuff is witchcraft and NEVER taught by Jesus. Look up her false prophecy on the I 35 highway that dissects the USA sometime (what an idiot she is, and God says that shame will come on all idolators). And yes, I am charismatic. I'd love to take on these liars of hell one on one sometime, they are deluding the church and it is a demonic spirit.

Paul warned Timothy about laying hands on others in 1 Timothy 5:22

22 “Do not lay hands upon anyone too hastily and thereby share responsibility for the sins of others; keep yourself free from sin.”

Obviously there is a problem with a Pastor laying hands on everyone he sees.

You know, I was unaware of all this until now. Then again, I haven’t made a serious reading on Pentecostalism since the early 1990’s and what I remember never compared to these, these pathological behaviors.

Not that Pentecostalism, particularly of the Protestant variety, isn’t susceptible to crass emotionalism but that was human weakness. This is clearly demonic.

The devil will hit the churches at their weakest point. In our Church among the weakest points has been our priests formation and commitment to their vows of holy celibacy. In the Protestant world the devil has made use of this so-called “prosperity gospel” and the cult of the super-preachers, and the sensational spectacles of false charisms to destroy whatever remains of true spirituality in evangelical Protestantism.

This post is truly revealing. And sad. Thank you for sharing it.

Two videos down. I remember Todd Bentley on nightline. The next day people here were shouting down anyone who was the slightest bit suspicious of Bentley. It’s still creepy to me that people buy into that.

Do you know that a person can take a weekend seminar and become a prophet?

On to more of this thread. Thanks for posting all of this information.

I respect Andrew Strom, David Wilkerson, Cindy Jacobs and C Peter Wagner.

Maryolatry etc is an abomination.

Not sure if I’ll read the rest of your long doc, or not.

Charismatics & Pentecostals on the END TIMES list . . .

A ton of flawed junk has been posted on this thread.

I don’t know that there’s a lot of point in responding to most of it.

The rigidly narrow and absurdly, ignorantly convinced are not likely to learn anything regardless of how Biblically and carefully one tried to help them sort out

the real from the counterfeit . . . the pepper from the fly specks.

Those who know the reality of the authentic Holy Spirit’s manifestations—regardless of how atypical—need no proof of the real compared to the counterfeit. The difference is night and day regardless of how similar such may appear to the ignorant.

Most of the pontifications grieve my spirit—particularly in terms of the ignorance and haughtiness.

Thankfully, God knows the reality as do those who follow Him closely.

Any ‘assault’ on the “Queen of Heaven” is surely the work of the Holy Spirit.

Sending her to her special place in hell will be one of his finest achievements.

As I have read through these posting about the manifestations of the C/P meeting and the dis order that occurs I am reminded of Paul teach the Corinthians that they needed to bring some order to their meetings too. So many were giving prophecies that no one was taking turns others were sing hymns lots of confusion.

As far as this manifestation taking place in early American history the Quakers were called that because the Spirit would fall upon their meetings and they would start quaking. Then there was the pine ridge revival of the 1800 where they would have to tie people up to trees to keep them from running off and they created a ring around the trees from the rope digging into the bark as they ran around the tree.

Then in the early 1900 Charles Params school in Topeka Kansas had a group of students praying for a move of the Holy Spirit with signs and wonders of the Apostolic age and they were blesses with the gift of toughens and one of the students or some one associated with the school went to California and began the Azzusa street Pentecostal movement and yes at those meetings there was a lot of confusion just like in Corinth.
