Here is a nutshell example of the Scylla and Charybdis Benedict must navigate between in Britain: a brazenly mendacious and viciously anti-Catholic British secular media on one side, and on the other, obstructionist Magic Circle Church officials who will cling, to their last breath, to the now-institutionalized liturgical and social revolution of the 1960s and 70s.
Is Harry Potter and a bunch of wizards and witches organizing this trip to Britian?
Are there no RC churches in London?
This profanity illustrates how far Anglicanism has sunk. They yoke themselves with superstition, tyranny, and wizards who think themselves to be "another Christ."
While I loathe the Potter series, I think you're needlessly defaming him.
Harry Potter never thought of himself as "another Christ."
"Yes" to the "wizards and witches."
What a circus
Westminster was a Catholic church before it was stolen.
It is also, by the agreement of ther Anglicans, the toponym of the reestablished Church in England.
It's odd for someone who supports the neo-Islamic theology of Calvin to be talking about anyone conjuring anything.
Neither has any Pope, despite your inability to understand the meaning of the Latin word alter and your insistence on pretending that it means alius.
The mass is an abomination to God because it seeks to bring Christ down from His place in heaven at the right hand of God the Father and tries to re-sacrifice Him over and over in an endless alchemy supposedly performed by "another Christ."
Anglicans are fools for hosting such sacrilege at Westminster.
But then again, many of them haven't looked too bright for awhile now.
Watch for the miracles. But then perhaps the non-believers will not be able to see them, just like the non-believers could not see those who came forth from their tombs and roamed through Jerusalem after the death of Christ.
Are the media ganging up on Pope Benedict?
I'm not sure who you imagine teaches such nonsense.
Was God the Son not in heaven when Jesus of Nazareth walked the earth?
Is Jesus of Nazareth not God the Son?
Is God absent from the world? If He is not, does His presence in the world derogate from His presence in heaven?
It's bizarre that these questions even have to be asked.
Pray for them. May God grant them the Grace of repentance and conversion.
I think the problem stems from the assumption that Eternity is only time -- just longer! Leads to a lot of corollary misunderstandings!
Amen
Why, Roman Catholics teach this "nonsense" to other Roman Catholics.
Per the following Roman Catholic FR thread, read all about how priests consider themselves to be an "alter Christus."
Then read all the comments from RC FReepers high-fiving every word of it.
Wizards is a polite word. Warlocks is closer to the truth.
"....Simply stated, the Catholic priest is another Christ. Through his ordination he has been granted the amazing gift of being a channel of divine grace for the eternal salvation of those he come into contact with both in his official ministry and in his personal life."
"Another Christ" in both his "official ministry and in his personal life."
No wonder these men think they can get away with pederasty. They believe themselves to be "entitled" by virtue of their status as "another Christ" in both their professional and private lives.
Let us not forget that you can't have magick without a magician.
As far as where Christ is today, we are told in Scripture that Christ sits now at the right hand of God the Father.
Apparently Roman Catholics don't read their Bibles. If they did, they would know that it is the Holy Spirit who indwells Christians today.
Christ is with us spiritually. Materially, He is in heaven. He is not re-sacrificed again and again to pay for sins which God has told us He has already forgotten.
Perhaps Roman Catholics don't read Hebrews. I suggest they try.

“It is a sacrilege that Ratzinger is going to conjure up a Roman Catholic mass in Westminster.”
Why?
“Are there no RC churches in London?”
Yes, there are, but there’s only one Archbishop’s seat in Westminster and that is the headquarters of the Catholic faith in modern England: http://www.westminstercathedral.org.uk/
“This profanity illustrates how far Anglicanism has sunk.”
What? Are you assuming that Westminster is a Protestant building? It’s a Catholic cathedral and always has been since we built it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westminster_Cathedral
“They yoke themselves with superstition, tyranny, and wizards who think themselves to be “another Christ.””
The one is yoked - and not to anything good - seems to be the one who doesn’t know who built and owns Westminster.
Well, there is a notable exception.
Cardinal OBrien accuses BBC of attempting to 'humiliate' Pope
Maybe LifeSiteNews needs to be made aware of this...
Westminster Cathedral is not Westminster Abbey.
From the wiki entry: The cathedral is located in Victoria, SW1, in the City of Westminster. It is the largest Catholic church in England and Wales, and should not be confused with Westminster Abbey of the Church of England. Westminster Cathedral is the seat of the Archbishop of Westminster, currently Archbishop Vincent Nichols.
When the press write "Westminster" they're talking about the Catholics, when they're talking about Anglicans they usually write "Lambeth" or "Canterbury".
You beat me to the punch because I was so busy facepalming.
