Mormon leaders have launched an expansive ad campaign in some battleground states designed to rebrand the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as "normal," igniting speculation that the church is laying the groundwork for Mitt Romney to re-emerge next year for another presidential bid without an anti-Mormon stigma.
The new ads feature young, active and diverse Mormons talking about their jobs, their families and different passions, like surfing, skateboarding or motorcycles. At the end of each ad, they declare their faith.
The church insists that the campaign is not intended to boost a likely Romney 2012 presidential bid.
"It had nothing whatsoever to do with Mitt Romney's campaign," LDS spokeswoman Kim Farah told FoxNews.com. "The church is politically neutral and does not support a political candidate."

The Mormons will hurt their reputation if they associate themselves with Romney.
Won’t work. I despise Romney.
i’ll go fishing if this clown is the rep. nom. - this clown will never get my vote
Granted there are two or three pubbie candidates I’d like better, Mit Romney would be a gigantic improvement over what we have.
You went fishing last time out; how’s it working out for you?
I always think of Multiple wives and the amish when I think of them...and the Osmond Family.
i voted last time out, but not because of mcsame-
Beck probably doesn’t care for Willard... but he’s laying the groundwork for him in this regard.
You notice that Mormons never talk about what they believe. It reminds me of the brochure the recruiter gave me about AOCS in Pensacola. There was this beautiful babe running on the beach in a golden bikini on the cover. I never did see that girl while I was running five miles in the sand with a DI yelling at me. Things are not always as advertised.
BWAAAHAAAAHAAAHHAHAHAAAHAAA!
Normal?
(Snort) BWAAHAAHAAAHAAHAAHAA!
That question’s answer would be a big: “DUH!!!”
Of course that is what is going on.
Simple: The GOP nominates a pro homo, pro abortion, Obamacare supporter, which ALL of these things are Mitt Romney and his clear record, we Lose.
Period. Obama the REAL can easily beat Obama Lite.
Instead of fishing, seek a writing class.
Yeah Glenn Beck had a curtain raiser for the aboryion pushing Romney last Saturday...
Beck said hes going to have more of those whatever they were...
Ya notice that romnbey was not on the same stage as Sarah Palin ???
I doint think he has been since 2008...
Whats the odds that Romney will sohow his old wrinkled Botoxed face and dyed thinning hair next time...
But Sarah wont be there ???
sarah does the Tea Parties..
I dont think Romnbey does...
They would be beneath his bishopship..
And Beck talks ugly about the Tea Parties too...
Beck has said that his “god” told him that we all have to get behinsd himn etc..
Is he planning to delived his groupies over to Romney ???
Vote for Romnbey or you dont love me ???
We will see...
Did Beck endorse Romney in 2008 ???
Beck is against us “birthers” and Romney doesnt exactly love us either...
I think birthers and Tea Partiers are too independent for the taste or program of Beck and Romney...
They want Kool ade drinkers..
Romnbey started this week by attempting to buy the New Hampshire vote...
NOT VOTING FOR ROMNEY: EVER! And I am still against Mormonism (though I will ally with them politically)!
Worth a careful read- a scholarly and dispassionate inquiry on Mormonism.

I voted for Alan Keyes last time.
It is working out extremely well for me.
Socialists, given the puppet strings of government have done exactly what they always do, and achieved the same results they always achieve.
Since I predicted where we are, I am able to point out to people that Rudy, McCain, and Romney were on the exact same course as Obama, just at a slower pace.
A sharp pain like the nation is in now is waking people up, as opposed to what would have happened had we slid into socialism slowly. A sharp turn to the right in the public outlook is taking place, and that would not have happened under a GOP establishment socialist.
And I personally voted for a candidate that did not wish to go down that road at any speed.
More voting against socialists period, as opposed to lesser socialists - will continue to produce the same effect.
I hope we get through all this peacefully, but if not, freedom is more important than comfort and security.
