“We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately (attributed).” - At the signing of the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776
True today also no matter who said it. We can all fist-fight AFTER we vote the bamster and his crew out.
Boy the ‘pastors’ and ‘reverends’ are out in force with the stupidity tonight
I can remember reading about the worshippers of the golden calf. They had high family values and were absolutely sincere in their worship.
Relevant, cutting edge and seeker friendly, too.
Samuel Adams prayed to God, in his way, but he was simply stating that he would not refuse to pray with anyone else. There is but one God, though some call Him by different names, and approach Him in different ways of worship. If someone believes in God as the Author of Life, I don't care WHAT they call Him.
Oh brother...its all interpretation. Muslims would disagree, so would wiccans - no one wins these My God is real arguments.
sure they do, only one God is real and the Moslems, wiccans, hindus, bhuddists all know that somehow their religions lack that which Christianity has to offer.......salvation through Jesus Christ. Mankind fell to the point that a savior was necessary to atone for their sins, Jesus came to earth, sacrificed His life for us, and founded the Catholic church so that we could continue His teachings throughout the rest of time......good plan!!
Spoken from a true place of ignorance...how does it feel to live there?
I was at the rally on Saturday. Religious theology was NOT mentioned. I’m a Baptist preacher’s kid and don’t have a problem with Beck being a Mormon. Whatever works for him is great. Instead of dividing this country over our differences we should hang together or we will hang separately.
So you’re saying all those people that showed up Saturday in person and online are just flat out wrong.
Since we’re all so bold to speak for God I believe He was pleased with the spirit of the event...Unity.
FYI ...
I live in the #4 county in the nation in which to raise a family according to FORBES MAGAZINE.
Does that answer your question?
I spent 14 year living in Western NM. (1972-1986) I had many Mormon friends. Have yet to meet one that I did not find a good family man, most were very honest and I frankly liked them.
For 2 years I was Republican County Chairman in Grant County. The Dem to Rep. registration ratio was 5 Dems to 1 Rep. It was a mine-union town. The three groups that I could always count on at the polls were the rock-ribbed Rep. Ranchers, the Mormons and the John Birchers. I had differences of opinion and beliefs with the latter 2, but they were always there to fight the political battles.
I also have good historic grasp of how the Mormon church was formed. Some of that history is not written. And the description of other parts are only sold in a brown paper wrapper under the counter in Utah.
God has used even non-believers to accomplish his ends. (example Cyrus the Great freeing the Jews from Babalonian Captivity)
Beck is correct, the battle we are fighting is about faith, truth, morals and the rule of law. (Many of our laws have biblical origin.)
Lets put asside our differences and get on with the battle with the evil one and his surrogates.
God can use anyone to work his will. He changed the heart of a pagan Moabite, Ruth from whose line descended Jesus. He used another pagan prostitute, Rahab, to hide his spies. She also became an ancestor of Jesus. He use the pagan Cyrus of Persia to send the Jews to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple. He used a theologically challenged Ethiopian eunuch to take the gospel to Africa.
He even used a donkey.
God can use Glenn Beck, too, to work his purpose in America. The fact that he is Mormon will not stop the Lord. His arm is not too short. If Beck is truly saved, he will eventually enter heaven. However, saved or not, the Lord can still use him.
THEOLOGICAL = VALUES.
MORMONS ARE CHRISTIAN
no they aren’t

That’s the broad message I got.
What an absolute dumbass Pastor Samson is.
Being Mormon is irrelevant.
That pretty well sums it up, although the “Jesus loves me best” crowd won’t like it that much.
