And on what basis do you decree that “God would not have told me that”?
He did in fact, tell me that. I had a series of dreams about Mormons and this was before the Mormons hoodwinked evangelicals and Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family before the 08 election.
Please, keep your musings about the one and Holy God to yourself. Jesus warned us about False Prophets and False Teachers over and over again in the Bible, of course the same Jesus Christ would warn us today about those same deceivers.
Blessings
Oh, and P.S., my post about Mormons was upfront, open and forthright. It was not a “backhanded slight”. Thx.
Y'all put me in mind of a saying by Thoreau:
“Some would find fault with the morning red -
if they ever got up early enough.”
AND, you are still talking Blah, Blah, Blah! The DEMON-crats and their friends the demons of islam are the threat. Take a deep breath and think. Think hard!
Where on earth do you come up with this piece of utter ignorance?
Some of the responses here are not surprising given the spiritual atrophy here in the US. A couple of points to ponder
1. Beck advertised this as a ‘spiritual’ event and not a political one. With this being the case, then it is every bit reasonable to evaluate Beck’s spiritual world view in contrast to that of Christianity. Beck advocates mormonism, done subtly, but done none the less. So it is further legitimate to examine whether it is proper to ignore the vast theological gap between mormons and Christianity. It can’t be ignored. A similar gap exists between Judeo-Christian beliefs and Islam. The false claim is we both worship “God”, but closer theological examination shows that the ‘god’ of Islam has nothing to do with that of Judaism and Christianity and everything to do with the consolidation of the idols the arabs worshiped at the time, with allah being the moon ‘god’.
2. How much of this event is a personality ‘cult’ of Beckism? He throws his adhoc mix of Christian sounding mormon terms around, along with a bogus history of hebrews in the pre-americas and conservative values like mud on a mudbogging course. This is easily a foundation of sand, not rock.
3. If the mormon church was so fixed upon supporting the Constitution, why did they violate it by advocating polygamy and the discrimination against blacks.
Perhaps the "deep breath" should be yours.
OH...so it's OK for God to say "the Book of Mormon is TRUE!"...meaning that ALL Christian creeds are FALSE but it's offensive for God to say something about mormonism to someone that doesn't fit your template?
Double standard, par for the course.
Nothing about this thread is about yesterday.
Pray for America
It was a great rally as God was lifted up. We need to make sure we are following the one True God and not a cult. We need to pray for Glen that Jesus would truly reveal himself to him. Nothing wrong w/looking for the truth.
Pray for America
First while Jesus decides who is lost and who is found, that is among HIS SHEEP. We are directed to call out false teaching, to judge prophets and their words against the Bible, and witness to the nations who do not follow him. If all paths were valid there would be no point. We are also called at times as it says in Jude to “snatch” the lost from the fire.
The LDS is as false a path as Buddhism and Islam among many others. Worse, they slander Christ in their very doctrine which indeed makes them more insidious and harder to fight than other religions because they come “in HIS name” despite doing the precise opposite.
You say Hussein is the enemy, well you are partially correct. However the spiritual war we have been in from the beginning of time has not called a time out just because America in 2010 is having issues. All souls need to be saved if possible. DO we say “oh, but the Muslims were the issue, sorry we could not divide our attention” to those who fall down the dark path into eternal damnation while we focused only straight ahead.
The main reason the nation has arrived at the trouble it is in today is because we have lost sight of the fact that this is a Christian nation, that while other paths are tolerated and allowed to practice under our protection, the blessings the nation have received came from only one source, the God of the Holy Bible. We have become weak, confusing tolerance with equity among the faiths. While we are to look to ours and our house we also have a responsibility, a religious responsibility, to our nation and our world. We also are demanded to defend our faith.
Yes, it means that if we are doing it right, we are very busy in a multi front war, both hear and above.
Does this have anything to do with Beck. Beck is a man, he is in the spotlight, he also uses very Christian terms while following a most un Christian faith. I for one think his has remained a little ignorant of what the LDS really is, something common among converts. The LDS like to leave the former Christians "Christianity" intact as to make things easier for them.
This is all good and well as long as Beck leaves the LDS bit at home.
As for his political side, may he preach on...
Some will enjoy the beautiful paintings
others will find a way to condemn, no matter what, because of the source. (Pity be on them)
for more great paintings, go to the sidebar and click on ones like "I Know that My Redeemer Lives."
and you might enjoy "I stand all Amazed"
Just don't forget, those of you who are omnipotent, these are by those heathen LDS. But you'll be able to find the deceptions, right?
Sure you will.
Jim Robinson for a lasting affect. Glen Beck for a boost along the way.
Look at their agenda...it’s out there for all to see if you look. Ask a former Mormon...search the web...look at their history...etc. etc. etc. then you’ll be in a position to deny or understand their intentions for our country...why Christians do not acknowledge Mormonism doctrine nor their beliefs.
Like all counterfeit faiths they appeal to the senses....rather than the truth. Videos of feely touchy is part of the enticement.
Just wondering if you picked up the subtle references to Mormonism that were at this event? I did and then some. However his love for our country seems to tower of his belief in Mormonism....though I think he is likely doing what many do when they first get into Mormonism and try to reconcile Mormonism to Christianity...as least as much as he knows. The question is how much the LDS leadership will let him do his own thing before they really push to promote LDS. I think if they push him...he'll push back.
Wasn't intended to be a doctrinal debate.
