My good friend Linda, who is in her late 50's, hadn't been feeling well since April. Checkup, scan, biopsy, results today. She's too young for this! Locally, we're praying through the intercession of St. Peregrine, I sent her a Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha medal, and others are praying through the intercession of the founder of the Sisters of the Precious Blood (don't know her name, sorry) PLEASE pray for her - thank you SO MUCH!

I have some experience with Stage 4 in the family.
Tell her to enjoy what time she has left and do the things that she always wanted to do. Don’t put it off...and pray for a miracle.
God has a plan. Sometimes I just don’t get it.

Without prying, a few stage 4 cancers can be successfully treated, so it does matter which cancer it is. My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma in the beginning of 2005, and only lived till December, but it is a particularly nasty cancer. My prayers are with your friend Linda, her family, and you and her other friends.
A relative of mine, who was only in late forties, was diagnosed with a Stage IV cancer and through surgeries, tons of drugs and other heroic efforts she turned a one year life expectancy into 2.5 years. With two young kids, every extra day was a blessing.

Please. This is not the place to debate prayer.
Just pray and leave the dogma out of it.
Same here. 2 year life expectancy turned into 3, and with a young daughter it meant a lot.
Even through all the drugs, we were able to lead a pretty normal life and she did not suffer.
