The train from Colon, Panama, brought several passengers to the village of Frijoles one Sunday morning. Many had heard of the miracles of God in this church and came for physical healing. One was an elderly woman known as Mama Mecha.
That morning Mama Mecha received Jesus as her Savior. After the service, the congregation went to the inlet of Gatun Lake, which is a short distance from the church, to baptize the new converts. Her testimony of her conversion that morning stirred many hearts.
As Mama Mecha came up out of the water, she lifted her hands in praise to the Lord, and suddenly she began to speak in another tongue. Standing in the crowd was a man from Spain. He had been an archeologist in Egypt for several years and also served as a Roman Catholic priest in Spain and Panama.
Late that afternoon, while on the train returning to Panama City, he said to missionary Arthur Edwards, "After her baptism, that elderly woman spoke in an ancient* Egyptian language and quoted a psalm of praise from the Old Testament. There is no way she could even speak one word of that language which I learned in my work as an archeologist in Egypt. That had to be God."

Lord, I think you for giving me a prayer language. Let me use my gift to glorify you. . .
*Quix underline emphasis.
A pastor I know had prayed for someone to be raised from the dead once and she was. It really blew him away, because he said that he felt pretty silly praying for someone in a hospital who had been declared dead.
This guy I believe, because he was not one to be prone to sensationalism.
THIS
“life”
is about as close to “LIVING”
as
. . .
a fossilized flower is to a fresh honeysuckle . . . or less so.
Folks who have trouble letting go of this mortal pile of junk
may find that hauntings of such follow them all the way to their less than comfortable eternal abode.
For sure.
I think once things start really collapsing as OThuga is working so hard to kick off most brutally . . .
the chaos won’t relent very much until Armageddon is done.
There may be pockets of pseudo-normality here and there . . . however . . . I suspect that even those will be much worse than average now.
I AGREE.
I would add just one thing; the Apostle Paul's last days speak of apostacy, not revival.
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy...having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away" (2 Tim. 3:1,2,5).
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine! But after their own lust shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables." (2 Tim. 4:3,4).
the god of this world is working overtime to snare those who refuse to see the truth. Spiritual discernment is critical now.
Or because they abundantly manifested supernaturally power, personal purity and complimentary conformity with prior established revelation? (Acts 4:33; 17:2; 2Cor. 6:1-10; 12:12; Rm. 15:18,19) For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. (1 Corinthians 4:20) Not that i am or think i am much of an example of that.
INDEED.
TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH RELIGION, DENOMINATIONS, CONGREGATIONS NOWADAYS
HAVE A FORM OF GODLINESS BUT DENY THE POWER THEREOF—JUST AS THAT VERSE DECLARES.
WoW!!! Brings tears to my eyes!!!
PRAISE GOD.
I understand that in a region of Mexico . . . a senior Pastor over a wide area . . . will
NOT EVEN CONSIDER A CANDIDATE FOR PASTORAL education and TRAINING
UNTIL
THEY HAVE 10 VERIFIED RESURRECTIONS under their belt, first.
One of my speculations, hunches is
that there will be great suffering
then a great revival
and that just maybe
God will harvest folks at the peak of that great revival.
I do believe He is looking to harvest as many as He can.
AMEN! AMEN!
I love such true-to-live narrative examples of God’s Love and power.
That does make sense. One thing is certain, the Body of Christ is being completed. He will not take it until it is complete. And He knows when that is, and the last person in it. Praise GOD!
QUITE SO. QUITE SO.

I’m afraid your telling the truth. Thats exactly what it will take. Pray and witness.
Armenia at the time of my visit had been free from communism for nine years. The country was hard-pressed to keep the infrastructure going. So it was quite a surprise to see a church that owned a former shoe factory in a small city in the country. The building was full on a weeknight and it was a time of incredible worship, even though it was in a different lanugage. The local television news crew was there as well as a few ex-KGB agents who asked a few questions after the service.
When I was alone with the pastor, I asked him about the church and how it functioned in a post-communist society. It was an interesting story of God's great grace and favor on a people willing to give everything they had to Him. When I asked how a struggling people could purchase a building like this and renovate part of it into a church, he shared an incredible story.
The story was a great testimony of God's power at work, but what really struck me and challenged me to the very core of my American brand of Christianity was when the pastor shared about how he had stood before the people and how he had told them of God's love, and how the property could be theirs, and how he had then asked them to bring their wedding bands and rings and present them to the Lord. When they were collected and sold, the moneyw as used to purchase the property.
How long has it been since my offering to God has really cost me?

Father, help me to not hold back and to give everything to you. You are my all in all. Help me to live that way and to sacrifice whatever you ask me to give up for you...
INDEED, BRO.
Doing my more or less best at that.
Thx.

Juanita, a sister from our church, called me one Sunday afternoon and asked me to come to her home and pray for her, as she was going to the hospital the next morning for surgery. The doctors had told her she had a large tumor in her stomach. We began to pray and all of a sudden she let out a little cry. I asked what was the matter and she said that it moved. She said it felt like she was pregnant and the baby had dropped into place.
The next morning, just before noon, one of her sons called and said, "Pastor, I think you had better come to the hospital and hear this for yourself!"
I went and was told by the doctor that he had never seen anything like this in all his life. They had opened her up and found a highly cancerous 22-pound tumor in her stomach cavity. It had thousands of roots going in every direction. "The amazing thing," said the doctor, "is that every root had been cut and all we did was reach in and take it out. Where the roots had been cut, every one of them looked like something cauterized them and they were all dead."
The doctors sewed her up, and sent her home where she lived another 17 years, never to face that sickness again! What amighty God we serve!
