Mortal sin also requires deliberate will and full knowledge. I don’t doubt that many who have had abortions or that procure abortions will have these as well.

Grave matter — abortion kills a baby; I will no longer be pregnant

Full knowledge — yes, I know it kills the baby and I won’t have to go through pregnancy or labor or birthing pains.

Deliberate consent — Yes, I sign the paper giving the abortionist my permission to perform the abortion.

To me, that makes it a mortal sin.
