Mormon Missionary Deception Method:

All I know is that when I asked God about it, I got told the Book of Mormon is true, and Joseph Smith was a prophet. Good enough for me. I've also been told that God didn't answer my prayer, Satan did. They must see a different God than I do.

Years ago when I was in a period of spiritual searching, a Mormon was trying to get me to try the LDS "Church". At that time, I prayed about the LDS "Church" over the period of a few weeks and the Holy Spirit gave me a loud NO answer. A couple of weeks later I met a group of young evangelical Christians and knew this was where I was supposed to be. So whose god lied to them? Mine or yours? Since we got opposite answers to the same prayer request, who was right?

Since your subjective approach gives conflicting answers, how about an objective approach? On that standard, Mormonism fails. The more I have studied Mormonism as an apologist, the more impressed I am with the lameness of the responses of the LDS.

It seems pretty clear why the LDS "Church" loves this subjective James standard rather than the objective Berean model from Acts 17. Could I use the James passage to pray about whether it is right to murder a business rival? Of course not, since God's Word expressly forbids murder under those circumstances. Likewise, why pray for something that can be easily disproved from Scripture? A modern-day Berean would remember Galatians 1:6-9 which strongly condemns angelic revelations of new "gospels". Sound familiar?

I know the Truth, who is Jesus, whom your group misrepresents with false teaching. You constantly state that others are spewing propaganda but never seem to provide concrete examples.

The Cross: that doesnt figure into the “atonement” of the mormons..that was just a way for their mormon jesus to die..

The sacrifice of Jesus: To the mormons Jesus was just an accidental victim helpless to stop the Romans arresting Him or killing Him..the “martyrdom” of Joey Smith is respected by the mormons more than the substitutional death of Jesus in our place for our sins..

The diety of Jesus:

To the mormons God the Father had a father who had a father. The mormon jesus is jnust one of many “sons” of one of the gods..Lucifer was the younger berother of the mormon jesus as the rest of the human race..

The reason Jesus came: The mormoinbs claim that it was a toss up between Lucifer and his elder brother, the mormion jesus. Lucifer really really really did want to come, while the mormon jesus was not that enthusiastic, but the mormon jesus was told to come because he was the eldest..

Salvation: You have to be dunked dead or alive in a mormon pagan temple..the mormons were told by their mormon gods to dead dunk everyone who ever lived..back to Adam and Eve...good luck with that because the mormon god didnt give the mormons any lists of names...apparantly the mormon gods do not know the names..

Salvation: and more things to do to be “atoned”, tithe 10% to “the office of the president of the mormon corporation” earn a “temple recommendation once a year (or lie to get it) and agree that Joey Smith is the prophet of allah err whomever...(”There is no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith” Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, p.190 )and “sustain” all the prophets teachings and all the mormon books, and mpormonism as “true” and the Christian Bible and Christianity as “untrue” and never associate with non-mormons..(I dont know how the mormons explain their presence on FR but I think several of them have never “gone throught the temple” so they desparately are earning lower brownie points.

Heaven and Hell: the mormons have no Hell and they have 3 afterlifes they call “kingdoms”

1. The “celestrial kingdom” the pentehouse, is a series of new planets where mormon males have their own haremn and make new “spirit babies” forever to populate their own dictatorship...(I dont know what happens when the planet becomes overcrowded theres no off button for this activity...Joey Smith didnt think that far ahead...the concubines will all be very young and very willingly and will be the wives of “unworthy” mormons and apostates (AKA Christians and other non-mormons) and daughters of worthy mormons..

2. the “middle kingdom”...it has a name (telestial but its not important...theres no TV or telephones, who ya gonna call for help ???) these are the mormon lot who are not good enough or “worthy” for the “celestrial kingdom and not quite bad enough for the bottom level..again Joey Smith didnt think to leave them any instructions...

3. The bottom level is called the “terrestrial kingdom” AKA “outer darkness”...this is where the “unworthy” mormons , apostates, Christians and other non-mormons and those who said NO when they were proxy dead dunked and those who never “went through the temple” or ever were awarded a “temple recommend” or refused to bow the knee to Joey Smith...amongst those will be the LORD Jesus Christ of the Christian Bible, any Popes that were overlooked in the dead dunking frenzy, Billy Graham, Sarah Palin, Mother Teresa, and a multitude of good Catholics who died in the crusades unnamed...Nana has dubbed it the TEArrestial area or kitchen and that is where I will hold the fort behind a huge TEA Pot and yummy goodies and enjoy the company of my fellow Flying Inmans and not do windows or trays to the uplevels because that is NOT ALLOWED..again you see that for some unknown or neglectful reason Joey Smith and his mormon gods did not think ahead...(How was Joey Smith to know one of those sneaky deceitful Christians would gleefully take advantage and make the basement of the mormon afterlife kingdom the private domain for herself and her “antis” ??? For example, how do Mormons prove that the Bible teaches that God the Father has a body? By cherry-picking a few verses, misinterpreting them, and ignoring all the other verses which disprove their point.

Then you might be familiar with the term "eisegesis" which means reading your view INTO the text rather than letting the text say what it means to communicate. That is the other tool of the trade for Mormon apologists to suggest the Mormon doctrines are taught in the Bible. Take the "baptism for the dead" verse you mentioned earlier. Careful study of that verse shows that Paul changed from an inclusive pronoun ("us") to an exclusive pronoun ("they") when talking about the practice. Whatever practice is being described there, Paul is separating himself from it. He justs uses an example of a practice (probably pagan) which the Corinthians would be familiar with to prove the bigger point of the resurrection of the body by suggesting that even nonbelievers believe in this doctrine.

Most Mormons I have known have a big issue with the Jehovah's Witnesses and are quick to assert that they are a cult. There are lots of JWs who will sincerely assert their testimony. Since the battle of testimonies would be draw, what strategy would you adopt to show the JWs they are wrong.

If a soul is to reach "exaltation", as Christians see salvation, that person must adhere to rules and regulations that are very similar to what we see being forced on the US by the present administration in Washington. The mormon church dictates that if you are to participate in temple rituals that are seen as necessary to salvation, you must pay and attest to paying a full 10% of your income.

The mormon church dictates further that if you wish to participate in these temple rituals, it has a say in who you may associate with.

The mormon church dictates that if you marry in the mormon temple, as required in order to reach exaltation, whether your parents, other family members or friends may attend your wedding ceremony.

The mormon church dictates the type of underwear, available for purchase only from the mormon church, that you wear after you take part in these temple rituals.

The mormon church actively "encourages" members to have as many children as possible, "to provide earthly bodies for little spirit babies in Heaven who must have the bodies in order to reach exaltation" whether members are financially able to care for these babies or not.

Until just recently the mormon church has dictated to members that cremation was not allowed because mormon belief is that the body will be raised from the grave and should be "intact".

The mormon church provided Obama with the "Transparent Administration" example by collecting billions of dollars in tithes and refusing to account for one single penny of the church's finances to members or to the public.

Members of the mormon church in general do not know that the entire Corporation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is owned solely by one man, the president of the church...a worthy goal for Obama, IMO.

Now Rip, would you like to explain to me why citizens of the US would care to exchange the present leadership of the country with mormon leadership of the country? Are we to believe that this determination to control would not carry over into the lives of non-mormons, when the goal of mormonism is to see world-wide adherence to its religion?

Look I was not please in mainstream because I needed answers to questions that the Bible spoke about there are many like us we feel we were not getting the whole message.

Until one has the desire to know more or want to resolve an issue they will not be motivated to seek.

How do you infer fear or doubt from a definitive NO answer? If the Holy Spirit doesn't speak in negatives, then how could He say no? If I prayed to the Holy Spirit about whether it is right to murder my neighbor, wouldn't He say no? When Paul prayed repeatedly for the removal of the "thorn in the flesh" and was denied, didn't the Holy Spirit say no?
