1. Convince you of their sincerity 2. Trick you into expressing faith first in the Book of Mormon by praying and asking for a sign (this takes you off the objective ground of Biblical truth and puts you into subjective ground of feelings) 3. Convince you that the Bible has errors in its translation 4. Trick you into expressing faith in the prophet Joseph Smith 5. Trick you into expressing faith in the Restoration of the “Gospel” (see Galatians Chapter one) 6. Get you all the way into the baptismal font...

Instead, you come right out swinging, insinuating that the anti’s believe mormons are not good people and that any who post against mormonism are going to “attack” you for showing support. By the way, have you had the mormon missionaries over yet and joined the mormon church like you said you were going to do some time ago? Or is it that you found the truths of the religion quite unpalatable?
I am very well aware of what the Mormons thing of us and that the Catholic Church does not recognize the Mormons as Christians....I was born and raised in Utah....didn’t leave the state until I was well into my 40’s.
The point I was making was, there is ONLY one GOD, there is ONLY one HEAVEN and that is where our GOD is and thats where WE all hope to end up...if our government has its way there won’t be any Mormons or Catholics or anything else, only socialism.....
As a Mormon, I was told there are many things we are not to speak about, things that occur in the Temple.
The rest of the embarrassing doctrine is simply skimmed over or not mentioned at all to prospects.
That’s why Mormon’s can become so alarmed and feel attacked when these peculiar doctrine are discussed.

I also note, that you didn’t address any of the points ampu brought up and that your initial post is all about your feelings and alluding to a persecution complex.
As to the topic of the post and ampu’s questions to you. Missionaries lie by OMISSION. Not telling the whole truth is the same as telling a lie. Granted, they are told what to tell by SLC, but they are the messengers and if they are aware that they aren’t telling the whole truth, then they are just as guilty as SLC in lying by omission.
Ampu is taking the right approach with this. Resty, you’ve shown the world the depths to which a mormon will go to “defend” their religion.
I am going to use this example to double my efforts to get my wife and son out of the cult of mormonISM. You have shown me how depraved the thinking in a cult can be. Because I love my mormon wife and son, I will be doing everything I can to get them out.
