I don’t consider myself “saved.”......I consider myself “fully invested.”

For by grace are ye SAVED through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I align myself with God's Word

I'm saved 'from'
and
You are fully invest 'in'

We never know what tests of faith lie ahead for each of us. Do we have the faith of the martyrs? We cannot know until we face such test.

When I hear someone claim they know the result of their judgement, it sounds to my ears like someone who is claiming they already passed without taking the test.

There is a thing called a “joke.”

In “jokes” people play with clashing meanings of words and with unexpected juxtapositions of ideas.

Jokes also usually presuppose that the speaker is not to be taken literally, and sometimes not seriously at all.

Recognizing jokes is a useful social skill.

Good - and what about thin skin - does that go hand in hand with one’s skillful practice of joking?

I’m just showing that I can say that Mary is the mother of God is true by the simple syllogism
and
I can say Mary is the mother of God is false with the additional premise.

Ok, show it: let's see your simple syllogism.

I did.

I told you I’m not going to hold your hand any longer.

If you go through the thread again you might be able to catch up.

I did.

Are you referring to the same one with the irrelevant premise? The same one you tried to argue at first?

If so, then it's been tested and failed - the conclusion is true whether this premise is true or false: hence irrelevant.

If it is not the same one, then just post the darn thing and defend it.

Nope.

It’s the one that was never tested but proven to be a necessary condition but you feigned (and continue to) ignorance of it’s presence.

Then demonstrate:

Post the syllogism with your premise = true and with your premise = false.

Demonstrate that either changes the conclusion.

Here’s one:

1. God must be incarnated by an immaculate woman.

2. Jesus is God

3. Mary is a woman

Conc: Mary is immaculate

A good argument?

There is a town in which the sole barber- a man by the way- shaves all the townsmen, and only those townsman who do not shave themselves.

Does the barber shave himself?

If he shaves only those who do not shave themselves then he must shave himself. :)

Do you have a reason for that Barber, not to shave his own face?

To: RedHeeler

Absolutely.

If he shaves himself then he can’t get a shave because the only barber in town will only shave those who don’t shave themselves.

There is a good lyric to that, as I remember-mmmn. Ah Yes, a grand old Luther’d song. Me-me-me-me-me-me, Me-me-me-me and then the chorus- Me,ME,ME,ME,ME,ME

I just though a comment in this post from wagglebee could be a good addition to your list in the Hall of Amazing FRoman Catholic Quotes

Most protestants who have not liberalized believe in Salvation by Faith alone Thru Christ Alone.

Wagglebee, post #7356 on August 9, 2010: Hopefully they will be afforded the opportunity to repent of such heresy. Read Matthew 25:31-46 some time, you will see that faith has very little to do with one's salvation and both the saved and the damned are surprised by what is.

1. God has always existed and created all things
2. God created Mary
3. Mary is a Jewish virgin
4. God took on human form through being born of a virgin, Mary
5. Mary is the mother of the incarnated God - TRUE

6. Mary is the mother of God - FALSE
