Today, Women's Ordination Conference (WOC) Executive Director Erin Saiz Hanna made the following statement in response to the Vatican's announcement that priests who sexually abuse minors, view child pornography, or sexually abuse mentally disabled adults, along with those who ordain women or women who attempt to be ordained, will now be included among the list of "delicta gravioria," or the most serious crimes against church law. The ordination of women is now classified as a "crime against the sacraments," which includes any action that defiles or desecrates the Eucharist.
The Vatican's decision to list women's ordination in the same category as pedophiles and rapists is appalling, offensive, and a wake-up call for all Catholics around the world. This new canonical declaration which names women's ordination as a serious crime against the Roman Catholic Church is medieval at best. The idea that a woman seeking to spread the message of God somehow "defiles" the Eucharist reveals an antiquated, backwards Church that still views women as "unclean" and unholy.
It is clear this recent decision was made out of fear of our growing numbers. The Vatican is using this attempt to extinguish the widespread call for women's equality in the church. In a statement published on May 29, 2008 in L'Observatorio Romano, the Vatican's official newspaper, all women who "attempt ordination" and the bishops who ordain them are automatically excommunicated, known as latae sententiae. Adding delicta gravioria as a scare tactic to already "excommunicated" women and the priests who support us is ridiculous and does not make a bit of difference. Excommunication will not work, and neither will this. In the face of one closed door after another, Catholic women will continue to make a way when there is none.

If women voluntariuly seek excommunication, let them have at it.
Go somewhere else and stay away from Catholics.
We don’t want you.
Run along and play dearies the grownups are busy.
Oh and that list is not new but we can not expect the raving lunatic womyn priestesses and the WP to know that, can we?
A crime against the Body of Christ whether in the sacrament of the Eucharist or in the sacrament of Holy Orders has always been a grave offense. And it is such an offense because it profanes a holy thing. Same goes for child abuse. To equate such abuse with the abuse of the sacrament does not belittle the victim. Instead it says the child too is of such importance that to degrade or harm him is along the same lines as profaning the sacred.
LOL! I was just thinking they like to play dress up don’t they? Kind of pathetic being middle aged and still wanting to do that?
10-15 years after you ordain women, you get gay marriage imposed in your christian religion.
Aren’t they just precious??
Thanks for the compliment.

You are absolutely right but they view themselves as both 'victims' and 'pioneers'. They are not going anywhere. And ... the msm love nothing more than to post their lamentations in order to advance their personal agenda of slamming the Catholic Church.
I can’t become a nun as a man, why are they so pissed they can’t become a priest? Get over it, missie. There’s a billion protestant sects where they can go and play house. They need to leave the Catholic Church.
The individual in the article can harrumph all they like. No amount of posturing, nor further weaseling will cause the changes they wish. This has already been infallibly covered, and it will never change. If these people wish to excommunicate themselves, I am sorry to hear it, and both hope and pray that they use the time to reflect on what they’ve done wrong, and the steps they need to follow to fix this. No manner of devilment on their parts will accomplish the end they favor. The only end results are that they set themselves apart from Our Lord and the Church, and that, unfortunately, some others might be unduly influenced enough to follow those lost souls onto this terrible path. I really do hope that they see the errors of their ways.
Forty years of this garbage is enough.
There’s something about ordaining women that just gives me a sick stomach. I didn’t grow up with any bias one way or another about women leading churches, but after meeting a few of them in my middle age, I began to feel that there’s something so corrupted, and fetid about the whole thing...
‘Excommunication will not work, and neither will this. ‘
Fine. Time for the Auto Da Fe.

It is a press release from the heretics, printed verbatim by the Post.
