Salt Lake City blowtorch KSL-AM (and its FM siblings) are said to be ending their relationship with conservative Fox News Channel/Premiere Radio Networks personality Sean Hannity, on grounds that he doesnt fit in with the Latter Day Saints code of conduct.
According to blogger Glen Warchol, whose Salt Lake Crawl appears in the Salt Lake Tribune, Hannitys propensity to use uncivil language is running counter to a list of values that KLS owner Deseret Media Companies is adhering to. Among the tenets are things like I promote integrity, civility, morality, and respect for all people and I seek to lift, inspire, and help others find enduring happiness.
KSL is ready to drop Hannity despite the fact that his show is doing very well.
According to Warchol, the fall-out is being felt throughout Deserets SLC properties. The ultimate ownership of the company is held by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Hannity is not expected to fall very far, however. Clear Channel, which owns the radio network that carries Hannitys program, also owns KNRS-AM in Salt Lake City and is said to be ready to pounce on him as soon as he becomes available.
RBR-TVBR observation: Apparently its not Hannitys opinions, but the way that he states them, that is causing the problem. At any rate, its very unusual in the world of capitalism to see principle, as in moral value, trump principle, as in investable cash.
Ah, legalism in action.

("So, we'll show Sean the 'civil' door...")
BTW, how "civil" is it for the Lds church to label itself as "the only true and living church on the face of the earth"? (Doctrine & Covenants 1:30)
How civil is it to call the Christian church "apostates?" The drumbeat continues. Just this past weekend, the Deseret News (sister media outlet to KSL) ran this Apostasy Accusations
He’s been quoting the President and Vice President too much lately.
When you take just one,he'll drink all the beer.
Hypocrites.
I take it that making a profit isn’t a part of the business plan.
Can’t have no stinking “Great and Abominable” members on our sanctimonious and terribly boring radio station.
Besides he doesn’t speak in a soft and dulcet monotone affectations with “Holier than Thou” phrasing.
No great loss however as Hannity is just a copyist with no original thought.
oh, that was sooo bad!!

As long as they are nice about it whats the problem? I guess you prefer the model that every religion is right about God and the road to salvation?
This only elevates Sean’s popularity, just like Sarah.
Go Sean!
But too true, brother Bannon.
When one Muslim goes to China (where pork is big), he comes back fat. When two Muslims go to China, they starve.
I believe it.
When did the LDS become liberal?
Thanks for posting their lineup. I’ll be sure to tune in to that station the next time I’ve got insomnia.
How about removing him from the lineup because he’d dumb as a bag of hammers?
grrr... “he’s”
I think that’s the only Mormon joke I ever heard!
No kidding. Just a "pretty boy" parrot.
Sean is a good Catholic boy who doesnt hesitate to speak about God and Conservative issues...
I’m sure he steps on the non-Christian toes in Utah every day...
