My wife and I went to catholic school for 12 years. We haven’t been to church since. But we raised six great kids who went to Baptist after-school studies. So it’s all good.
Anyway, thank you. This underscores a couple of things - one is that the deliberateness of the "post-Vatican II" liturgical destruction really weakened the faith of many people and that priests have fallen into a bit of a worldly trap with the elimination and minimal offerings of essential parts of Catholic life. I don't know that we'll be able to really get back to true parish life as we don't walk to church much any more and enclaves are less and less part of the American landscape, but the attempt could at least be there. And we can all do our part and try not to do commerce on Sundays and the like. The question is, can we make the sacrifice and do it?
