“Before 1502”?
That seems an unlikely way to express someone who was born more than 1500 years before 1502.

I suspect it is a computer program limitation.

1502? I could see if it were listed as 1500. But who designs a computer system that cannot count back before 1502?
(That’s almost as silly as designing one that cannot count back before 1970. ;^) )

I have no idea. The old PAF program (LDS genealogy program) limited dates to like 1546 or some similar odd date, so I wouldn’t be surprised.

Then we have the religion section where Mormonism is one religion that is examined.Well, I hate to disagree, Colo, but the threads on Catholic/Protestant get pretty heated on occasion. Lots of doctrines get examined and/or ridiculed, and posters can take it personally. However, most admit (following their respective denominations' teachings) that other Christians are also saved through Christ.
That is because the denominations agree on what "saved" means, and what "Christ" means. OTOH, Mormons get miffed when Christians won't agree to the special Mormon meanings of common words. Maybe that's why Romney can claim to be for socialized medicine and the conservative champion at the same time: it all depends on the definitions, you see...

Allowing them to make the claims without challenging them to prove them, would imply that we aren't speaking the truth by not standing up to the accusations. Allowing to make the claims for 180 years without challenging them has resulted in FReepers who are ignorant of the blasphemy to "feel their pain" without seeing the hatred of Christianity that was the foundation of the sect.

Yep, my statement was meant to say it is one (of the) religions that is examined. Read my statement again, I think you might agree with me since I didn’t say “it is THE one religion...,” I said, “it is one religion THAT is examined.”
You are right, many religions (perhaps all) are examined in the Religion Forum.

Nah they will leave it and use it as needed and deny its existence when it is convenient... No; they will IGNORE it, just like they do NOW for things we bring up.
Such whistling past the graveyard gets old after a while, but the New Lurkers seem to get the picture.

If I went up to the average Mormon and asked them if they wanted to be a god of another planet what kind of reaction would I receive? If FR Mormons are any example; they'd recoil and say "How DARE you try to state what we believe!"
And then they'd not say a THING about it.

Babe, CC wasn’t stating that Mormonism was the ONLY religion examined but that it was one of many that were.

Good point about Romney. It makes a lot of sense if you look at it from the Mormon tendency to redefine things as they see fit.

Ok, well I’m not going to argue with that. Those kind of antics irritate me too. I didn’t read her post that way, but I’ve also been speed-skimming through a lot of this discussion.
