"The Church is the Church of sinners, and Lord knows, we really prove that over and over."

Not so, my FRiend. At least your organization does not acknowledge what it is you say this proves. The church staunchly proclaims its infallibility, inerrancy, and superiority to all groups worldwide. You really must check its press and the postings of the other Catholics here at FR.

You sir, while a gentleman and a reasonable scholar, may not be so adamantly defensive of the aberrant expressions of this bastion of "truth", still need to toe the party line. After all, when men like this goofball stands up as "alter christus" and claims to be an intermediary between God and man, then call the Holy Spirit a woman and look longingly at the little altar girl, this is one ordained by headquarters, not you.

Clothed in his garb of distinction, performing the Mass, giving some wafer & wine to once again openly crucify the Son of Glory, this piece of darkness is one of those you must defend or you become the judge of the judges. Which is it?

What evidence do you have that he “look longingly at the little altar girl”?

“Clothed in his garb of distinction, performing the Mass, giving some wafer & wine to once again openly crucify the Son of Glory...”

Christ can’t be crucified again in the Mass.

Stooping to completely things up like this says quite a bit about a poster.

“The church staunchly proclaims its infallibility, inerrancy, and superiority to all groups worldwide.”

In what universe is this so? Certainly not this one.

“You really must check its press and the postings of the other Catholics here at FR.”

Two sources with which you are clearly unfamiliar.

“still need to toe the party line.”

Thank goodness you didn’t write “tow the party line.” That drives me up the wall.

“this is one ordained by headquarters, not you.”

An organization that is working to clear out its rogues is not truthfully accused of endorsing the abuses of said scoundrels.

“to once again openly crucify the Son of Glory”

That resembles Catholic theology in no way.

“this piece of darkness is one of those you must defend or you become the judge of the judges. Which is it?”

That is a false dichotomy. Every Catholic is free to—no, has a duty to—oppose the heresy and abuses of this bad, bad man, whose heart is clearly as black as the Earl of Hell’s weskit.

Perhaps you think you're infallibly saved no matter how often you violate the commandment ,"Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor," but I'm still going to call you on it every time you do it.

Jesus is not "re-crucified" in the Mass. Not according to Catholic doctrine, at least, though perhaps according to the lies John Calvin told about Catholic doctrine.
