More on this story from Matt C. Abbott
“My sense is that the country right now is stunned, because these moves from the new government [toward Soviet style repression and disinformation] have come incredibly quickly and systematically.”
Gee, that sounds familiar. Oh, wait...
I know I have told you this before, but the patron of our little mission was murdered by the KGB, after having had his vehicles confiscated. He resorted to a horse-drawn wagon to make his Episcopal visits, and was run off the road by a carload of KGB thugs. They came back, and when they saw he was still alive, they beat and kicked him unconscious. His assistants, who were with him, got him to a hospital, where he was beginning to recover nicely. One evening, a strange nurse came to see him. He died immediately after her visit.
Blessed Theodore Romzha, pray for us!
