Possibly there are biblical passages in support of your statement, "There is no shortage of scripture that instructs God's people to judge and correct others." But as none comes readily to my mind, maybe you could give me some relevant cites?

Jesus said, “And if your brother sin against you, go, rebuke him between you and him alone: if he hears you, you have gained your brother” (Matt. 18:15).

But if all are prophesying, and some unbeliever or uninformed person comes in, he is convicted by all and is judged by all. (1 Cor. 14:24)

Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
