That’s a very nice prayer. Like Fr. Kirby, when I want to pray for someone, I usually go to Mary, because I know she’ll get it done right.

Yes, indeed, I agree (on both counts!).
Have you read Fr. Mark's sidebar?
His Excellency, Bishop Edward J. Slattery of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tulsa, Oklahoma has given Father Mark a special mandate to live under the Rule of Saint Benedict in adoration before the Eucharistic Face of Jesus, offering thanksgiving, intercession, and reparation for all his brothers in Holy Orders. In this way, Father is preparing the foundation of the new Diocesan Benedictine Monastery of Our Lady of the Cenacle. Father Mark is available to the priests and deacons of the Diocese for spiritual and sacramental support in their pursuit of holiness. He is also charged with the spiritual formation of women who desire to dedicate themselves to spiritual motherhood in favour of priests.
Such an inspiring priest!

I think I did see that mentioned previously. We used to live in Tulsa, so I keep an eye out for news of the Diocese. Bishop Slattery is my favorite bishop ever. He was very involved with the homeschooling families, completely open and friendly ... very Okie, even if he’s not from there.

Interesting ... I'll have to read up on Bishop Slattery. I don't really know about him, other than from Fr. Mark's blog.
Whenever I feel a little dry spiritually, I click into
Vultus Christi, and in no time at all, I'm feeling well again. Fr. Mark truly is enLightened, not just with his content, but his organization, and graphic selections. I don't know where he finds the bulk of his images, but he has the best Catholic pics on the Net (also see another blog which is retired,
Hallowed Ground, for pictures), to go along with his very spiritual words.

In the spirit of St. Louis De Montfort, whose feast day is today, and who would have loved this prayer of Father Mark's, I leave one of Louis' "Love-of-Mary" quotes:
The Hail Mary, the Rosary, is the prayer and the infallible touchstone by which I can tell those who are led by the Spirit of God from those who are deceived by the devil --St. Louis De Montfort.
