Mormon church gives first lady volume of family history
WASHINGTON -- For the second time in less than a year, Mormon church leaders have met with a President Barack Obama family member in the White House to present a volume of history.
First lady Michelle Obama was presented with a volume of her family history Wednesday morning by Elder Dallin H. Oaks of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
Also participating was Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.
In July, Mormon church President Thomas S. Monson joined Elder Oaks and Reid in presenting the U.S. president with his family history.
"Last year, the church compiled several volumes for President Barack Obama," Reid said. "This year, I thank Elder Oaks for sharing our faith's tradition of genealogical research with the first lady and her family.
"This documentation of their lineage will be cherished and passed on for future generations," he said. "I am honored that the church can play a part in documenting the history of the first family."

Well resty, the mormon leaders seem to be "so much with the world" when the church has public affairs departments and daily report on what the mormon church is actually doing "in the world" with the muslims and the Obama administration for example.
You DO know that Obama is not a Christian, don't you? And, I have seen your posts about how much Harry Reid is "with the world".
This article I posted just happened to be "of the world", BTW.
One wouldn't think that it would interest someone who disdains "the worldly".

Oh come on Sandy. You started your response to me politely as mine was to you and then you ended with: But I suppose you think the exhibiters of the Dead Sea Scrolls are a bunch of liars and charlatons, right?

Laughable that you keep taking shots at LDS.
They seem to behave much better than you do.
For your sake you’d better hope God favors
doctrine over behavior.

Well actually he was prolicfic: he did have 7 kids, with his legal wife, more???? who knows.
It is a sad and disgusting issue, in what he did by running away with a married woman, but he paid the price, and her husband was not convicted. He actually took the tramp back.
