The LDS do not grasp that the Jewish Priesthood of Aaron was 1) for descendants of Aaron and 2) terminated with the Crucifixion of Jesus
Once again, the LDS keep trying to sew up the Temple veil that was rent in two by Christ.
Disclaimer: I am NOT Mormon. I was Mormon for several years and then left. I do not believe Mormon doctrine and find their teachings heretical.
I love to be served the Sacrament by these young men. They take it seriously, too.
P.S. The Church was restored.
I bet the Jewish people really HATE this perversion of their laws.
For 2000 years people have tried to sew the Temple veil that was rent in two from top to bottom. lds have rebuilt a secret temple, with non Biblical secret ceremonies.
What exactly is this supposed to mean? You can't tell me that the LDS can pssibly imagine that pimple-faced little 12-year-old boys can have power over the very messengers of God, angels.
These threads only strengthen the intended targets, and only offer you a quick fix for your addiction to antagonism. Grow up.
The Aaronic priesthood was not terminated with the Renegade Rabbi doing his thing. If you visit any Orthodox (don’t know about Conservative, Reconstructionist, or Reform) synagogue you will find that the first two people that always get called up to read the first two sections of the weekly Torah portion are the Cohens (high priests descended from Aaron) and Levis from the tribe of Levi.
Once the Temple is rebuilt the Cohenim and the Levi’im will be running the show again.
But if the Aaronic priesthood was terminated after the Renegade Rabbi did his thing then that means anyone can restart it and do whatever they want with it. No Orthodox Union seal of approval needed!
Once again, the Mormon church turns upside down a biblical reality.
In OT times, the priests in reality represented their fellow men, interceding for their sin via the sacrifice of various animals -- all to point to the Lamb of God, the scapegoat, who would take away our sin (Jesus Christ.)
The priests represented interceding for our our sin.
The focus wasn't on priests representing God...but they & other religious traditions have turned that around!
I write today for my son and other young men about what an extraordinary privilege it is to be an Aaronic Priesthood holder. You have been ordained and given POWER, by someone with authority from God, to act in Gods name on the earth today.

WOW I have that power without needing to be a so called Aaronic priest in mormondom...
Jesus gave me that power...
how “aaronic”
The LDS Aaronic priesthood is given to 12 year old boys who continue in it until they are ordained ‘elders’ (usually when they serve an LDS mission). So this is written to young teenage boys.

So then mormon women are subservient to their own 12 year old mormon sons ???
and female teachers have to take cheek from upstart pre-adolescent idiot delinquints ???
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
so much for the 5th Commandment and what Jesus and Paul had to say about obeying your mother...
Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you. Exodus 20:12
Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your God is giving you. Deuteronomy 5:16
Jesus replied, “And why do you mormons, for the sake of your traditions, violate the direct commandments of God?
For instance, God says, ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and ‘Anyone who speaks disrespectfully of father or mother must be put to death.’ But you say it is all right for people to say to their parents, ‘Sorry, I can’t help you. For I have vowed to give to God what I would have given to you.’ In this way, you say they don’t need to honor their parents. And so you cancel the word of God for the sake of your own tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote, ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’” Matthew 15:3-9
“Which ones?” the mormons inquired. Jesus replied, “’Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, Honor your father and mother” Matthew 19:18, 19
And Jesus said to the mormons: “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’ But you say that if a man says to his father or mother: ‘Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is Corban’ (that is, a gift devoted to God), then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother. Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.” Mark 7:9-13
“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. But to answer your question, you know the commandments: ‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. You must not cheat anyone. Honor your father and mother.’” Mark 10:18, 19
“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’” Luke 18:19,20
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.” Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:1-4

"...a messanger from Heaven descended in a cloud of light..."
Why does that sound SO familiar??
Aaron, of the tribe of Levi, was a mormon? I think not.
