Protestantism is a heresy. Henry was one of the “reformers” who started a new church to get a divorce and steal the Church’s lands. But we’re not discussing the reformation.

How do you explain the other verses I cited? That the Church will always teach the Truth?

“I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” John 16:12-13

“But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.” 1Tim 3:15

Here Christ says, and Paul reaffirms, that the Church will always teach the TRUTH.

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Mat 28:18-20

Again, here Jesus assures us that He is always with us, to the very end.

So Christ says that the Holy Spirit will guide the Church to always teach the Truth, and He will always be with us. Yet Mormons believe the Church almost immediately went apostasy.

As a Protestant I believe that Mary was a virgin when she conceived and I believe in the Trinity and that Jesus shed His blood on the Cross and died on the Cross to save us...

mormons claim Mary had physical sex with God and that there’s no such thing as the Trinity and that when Jesus sweated in the Garden of Gethsemane, that was the completed work of what the mormons call “atonement” and the Cross had nothing to do with our salvation...

Yes, the Church will always teach the truth .. as long as it is the true church of Jesus Christ. But The Catholic Church quickly went its own way, inventing its own doctrines**. The Protestants recognized this, but are no better off, foundering around in their own little universes.

**How quickly it started. As Paul wrote to the Galatians 1:6-8 "I marvel that you are so soon removed from him who called you into the Gospel of Christ unto another Gospel; which is not another but there be some who would trouble you and pervert the Gospel of Christ"

and Paul to Timothy: (2 Tim 4:3-4)"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears..And they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables."
