God has commanded us to do these ordinances.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

I do the ordinances because
a. God has commanded me to do them and
b. because I love God.

Whatever He does or doesn’t give me is up to Him.

If it’s sitting on a cloud, cleaning latrines, or being eternally pregnant, that’s His choice.

That may sound like I’m doing a little soft shoe, but that is why I do it. I try to follow His will the best I can and where I fall short, the Lord’s atonement will make up for it, if it’s God’s will.

Doesn't Christ not tell the summary of the Commandments.

Love Him ...and

Love one another.

What do all these ordinances do that prove your love more than mine? Ordinance keeping - commandment keeping is to exhibit your fallibility and your sinfulness. It is to show you that you cannot possibly keep all your covenants with Him.

His love and grace has covered you if you believe in Him for your salvation. And by "salvation" I mean it in the Christian vernacular. ;)

Jesus' commandments were condensed into loving God all your being and your neighbor as your self. Where in the Bible does Jesus teach modern temple ordinances because what is being performed in secret was not performed in the temple of Jesus' day (or before).
