FAITH UNDER FIRE Banished! City forbids Bible studies in homes 'This letter will serve as a 10-day written notice to quit such use' Posted: March 13, 2010 12:20 am Eastern

The city of Gilbert, Ariz., has ordered a group of seven adults to stop gathering for Bible studies in a private home because such meetings are forbidden by the city's zoning codes.
The issue was brought to a head when city officials wrote a letter to a pastor and his wife informing them they had 10 days to quit having the meetings in their private home.
The ban, however, prompted a response from the Alliance Defense Fund, which filed an appeal with the city as the first step in its campaign to overturn a provision it describes as illegal.

First Amendment Ping!
Already a thread. But no one squealed. They had signs up throughout the neighborhood asking people to come.

Screw the “authorities!!!!” Do it anyway. This also implies that a group of students can’t get together and study for a test, because the home is not a “school.”
As I said, screw them!!!!!!!!!
“Dear City of Gilbert administrators:
Get bent.
God bless.”
Damn the little commie marxists. Their day is coming.
When the Persian king ordered his Kingdom to worship only him for 30 days, Daniel made it a point to open up the windows and worship the living God.
When Paul and Silas were imprisoned for worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ, they sang hymns until the jail was destroyed in an earthquake.
Those Arizona Christians need to worship the Lord their God in the same way, and invite persecution for His name's sake, instead of whining like a bunch of little babies.
When I was kid, we used to have a week of summer Bible studies on the front lawn. Child Evangelism, if I recall correctly. It was fun, too. Played a couple of games, got a treat or made a craft, then we heard the Word. An at-home vacation Bible school. Those were the days.
Not much for Bible studies but I have the sudden urge to have 20 people over every week to study.
I’d like to see them do this to group Koran meetings in homes.
How much crap are we supposed to put up with.
The signs might be considered a “nuisance”, and may be removed. OTOH, the Right of Freedom of Assembly and Freedom of religion should not be infringed.
And that irritates the hell out of me.
1. Attack Christians, they just take it.
2. Attack Jews, get sued.
3. Attack Muslims, get killed.
That seems to be how it works.
I’ll bet if they had invited people to a group sex party at their private home, the city wouldn’t have had a problem with it.
Gee I have family and friends over for CHRISTMAS! Are they going to ban that too?
I live in Texas and this happens every single day. I can’t imagine anyone trying to stop it.

There go the garage sale signs, the Pancake Day signs, the bulletin boards in family restaurants, the 'Community Calendar' pages in local newspapers, where do you want to draw the line...?
I really have to re-check the source, because every time that
I read one of these articles.I think that its’satire.
LOL.
Imagine if gays got together to do whatever they do,the city would probably find some grant money to help them.
